    Who they might be:
    • Are they mercenaries employed by the First Order, hanging around Starkiller base, similar to the bounty hunters Vader used to work with?
    • Could the Guavian gang be in holding cells at Starkiller base that get released when Rey busts out?
    • Or are they one of the other gangs where Han Solo is hanging out before he runs into Rey and the Falcon?
    Hmm.... mysterious indeed!

    Seems to me...
    BB-8 is captured by a lone Jakku scavenger (who we now know as Teedo).
    Finn runs into a group of thugs when he wanders away from the wrecked TIE, and Rey helps him out. Seems most likely this Unkar and his mob (possibly linked to the "Junkyard Thug" costume seen at Celebration) - just small-time junkers.
    Then there are the Kanjiklub and Guavian gangs - most likely the rival gangs who face off on the freighter, and I'm guessing Tasu Leech is linked to one of them (Kanjiklub based on Jakku and Guavian some off-world rivals?).

    However it pans out, there seem to be an awful lot of hoodlums knocking about in the first act...

    The MODS!!

    Somehow i get the feeling that this is the more powerful criminal gang of the ones we have heard about so far. They are not as connected to the primitive Jakku as the others. Security soldiers ? High impact armor ? Who is their leader ??? Why is the word Exécuteur there ? (captain obvious says it means executor)
    Are these old remnants of the imperial guard that joined/formed/took over a gang like Ex KGB and the Russian mafia ? (wiiiild speculation baby!)
