    Hi y'all! So, since it's all but "officially" confirmed that Gugu Mbatha-Raw's going to be in Episode VIII, I thought it was never too early for her to have her own speculation post! So, what role do you think she'll play? Love interest? Rebel pilot? Han Solo's daughter? A villain? Other?

    Personally, I kind of leaning towards her being the daughter of Ciena and Thane from Lost Stars, but who knows! :)

    Considering that Finn's storyline will probably involve him finding out who he really is, I'm actually leaning towards Gugu playing... Finn's sister.

    She's Lando's daughter and Finn's love interest. Don't know if it's true. But it just sounds right and looks right.

    This was possibly the Star Wars casting news I was most thrilled to hear :). I adore Gugu. I'm excited for whatever kind of role she gets, be it someone related to an OT person or someone brand new. The only thing I hope for really is that they let her look like herself - no prosthetics, green paint, cgi disguising her or anything like that.
    And let her wear her natural hair like this. ❤

    I miss big costumes, and I mean, I hear Naboo needs a new queen...
    Or maybe she could be from Onderon or even Hapan.

    But I prefer the idea of Gugu playing Lando's daughter right now. It's weird that VII appears to make no mention of him.

    I see her as being a Resistance leader whom Finn develops an interest in. It would be amazing if they somehow tied in Lost Stars to her character knowing Claudia Gray's fancasting of Gugu as Ciena.
