Iam more interested in the fact that Rey is down as just Jedi Training rather than Padawan or Jedi Apprentice it maybe just how she start the film so we get a second figure after the film comes out with this title or maybe Luke really is changing things.

seems like even if Luke is willing to train her, he'd be reluctant to call her "apprentice" perhaps.
and "padawan" can be a polarizing term for fans, so maybe they're being diplomatic by avoiding it.

Really getting the messianic vibe from Luke's outfit. Also, a Jedi Master is a Jedi Knight who has trained a padawan to knight-hood. How did Luke get the title?

Keep in mind a major story point is Luke is in despair; it's highly unlikely he agrees to train Rey just because she asks. Jedi training might mean something very different to what we're expecting.

I know some didn't agree with my thinking a while back that Luke may not use a lightsaber in the movie...any thoughts on there being no lightsaber with Luke (at least with this figure)?

We don't know how far he got with there training or how meny there were & also one of his apprentices then killed them all or so the story goes but as we know almost nothing about that period in Luke's life Iam not sure we can use them as a example of him successfully training them.

Anyway he was (is) the last Jedi.

He passed the last test assigned by Joda (confronting Vader) to became a Jedi Knight.

In the same battle he defeated (trough combination of knowledge, wisdom, power, and the will of the Force) two of the most powerfull Sith ever, finishing the Sith order.

Only problem is there was no one alive (if we don't count Force spirits of the Jedi) who could formally promote Luke to a Jedi Master, though certainly he is the one.
