Have we seen moments from the three acts?

So, with the amount of footage that has been released this past weeks, we've seen tons of 'moments' in the film. We've surely seen a lot of the first act (Jakku and stuff), and we've seen some other planets and places (and battles).

I must confess I'm amazed by all the things that I've seen, but I'm worried that we've seen almost all the environments reserved for the second and third acts of the film. I remember people saying that Disney/JJ were keeping the third act behind the curtain, but I think maybe we've seen enough of it (assuming the Kylo vs Finn/Rey fight in the Starkiller base is truly the final fight of the movie). If that's the case I must say I'm really dissapointed in the marketing campagin because I know I'll go to the movie knowing that whatever happens it all ends in the snow planet with Kylo Ren without a helmet fighting our heroes. So much for the mystery box and that stuff. I'm hoping that there's actually tons of things after that battle, otherwise I think we've seen almost everything and the story was never truly a secret to all of us who were exposed to the MSW story leak in the first place.

I think it has been strange how they are managing all this campaign. We passed from tons of people desperate for another trailer (remember the backlash after SDCC or Force Friday without any footage from the film?), to people desperate because we don't wan't to see more footage of the film between all those tv spots and behind the scenes videos. I really think Disney was doing this almost perfectly, every second of footage they released was all over the internet (remember the instagram video of Finn holding the lightsaber?) but now every time there is a tv spot I don't see people reacting like in the months prior to the last trailer. I do hope, that there are things and places (aside from Luke and snoke obviously), that are being kept under the wraps as a surprise.

We have seen a little more footage but I don't think we have been spoiled much, I still have the exact same questions I had 6 months ago. We don't really know much about what happens in act 2 or 3, we know there are going to be some battles and we have seen some shots of the planets they take place in but what else beyond that? We have been shown very little dialogue and there are characters we know almost nothing about.

Yes, we've definitely seen pieces of all three acts, because each act is on a planet, and we can figure the general structure.

There's the intro act on Jakku where they set the characters up and put the plot into motion, the jungle/rebel planet where everyone gets some time to develop before the baddies show up to attack the "safe space" to make them feel more threatening, and then the ice planet/Death Star 3 finale sequence where the battle to destroy the station is interspersed with an emotionally pitched lightsaber duel.

But the details are hazy. We don't really know who the characters are or why they're doing anything, we have zero idea of why the galaxy is in the state it's in what with the empire and rebels still being at war (albeit under different names), we don't know where Luke is or why he isn't there, etc.

I still think it's strange that we haven't seen much of the Pirate transport where Han and Chewie show up in the film.

You have a point but we have to put in perspective that we who have read the MSW synopsis and everything else in between sold our souls to the devil a long time ago and have only ourselves to blame. ;) Some of us have been scanning for leaks and news every day for the past two years or more now.
There is nothing wrong with the marketing in my mind (yet!). To the casual movie goer the trailers are just some epic Star Wars sh** happening to epic music on the screen and they go "cool ! Star Wars is back" or something and buy a ticket. For example when you see Kylo standing among a group of dark twisted characters in a thunderstorm surrounded by dead bodies you go "oh! Knights Of Ren slaughtering Lukes jedi academy" but average Joe goes "Dude!! what the hell was that!?". We where never meant to know these things and it affects our view of the marketing.
I bet half of the casual viewers probably thinks the assault on the castle and Kylo versus Rey in the forest is the last act.

I bet there is plenty left to discover though , fear not my friend.
Trailers have shown very little or nothing of the mysterious showdown with the super cool Guavian enforcers at the mysterious giant freighter . We have not seen much of the interior or mechanics of starkiller base (phasma walking through a hallway?) . What about that rumored superweapon of the resistance? The array , Unkar Plutt , the kanjiklub gang ? Max Von Sydow ? Maz Kanatta ? Constable Zuvio? Miltos Yerolemou's character ? Corr Sella , Ello Asty and tons more.

Things i listed now are things we have seen glimpses of mostly through leaks, toys and other medium but not really in action. We also don't have the full story and true background and motivation of (i would say none of) the main characters . Just a messy accumulated megaton of in-depth fan speculation of varying results based on hints .

But as JJ commented himself on the marketing and how it is walking a tight rope when it comes to reveals i still think you kind of have a point. There is still some time left to the magic date , plenty of time to mess up. Lets hope they pace themselves and stay classy.

I think we have seen parts from the beginning, middle, and end. I like how what have seen has really only confirmed rumors we have heard over the past year, but really not much new. Almost like many of the leaks were planned because they would be expanded later to the public. It's funny how these calls sheets, etc wear "leaked" out but other than one picture, nothing and I mean nothing has come to light about Luke, Snoke, MVS etc... I feel this show many (probably not all) but much of the other leaks could have been planned. Most of the trailers show much of the same things..maybe a lil different view or scenes expanded based upon previously released still photos but not enough to let the cat out of the bag.

I think that everything that we've seen so far is from the first hour or so of TFA.

I don't think Finn v Kylo, or Rey crying is from the first hour.

    Not everything.
The actual battle at Maz Kanata's Castle, at least from when the Resistance X-wing arrive, and everything after that (Han on snow planet, Finn and Han in First Order base, Finn + Rey VS Kylo) are probably beyond the first hour.

If you honestly think that we'll have the village opening scene, the introduction to Rey, Rey finding BB-8, Rey protecting BB-8 from Unkar's thugs, Finn and Poe escaping the Star Destroyer, Finn meeting Rey, Finn and Rey running from stormtroopers and TIE Fighters, Finn and Rey escaping on the Falcon, meet Han and Chewie, Travel to Takodana, Meet Maz, battle on Takodana, Kylo confronts Rey, Finn and Han regroup with the Resistance, Han and Finn infiltrate First Order base, Rey + Finn VS Kylo... all in the first hour, I think you need to drastically reduce your expectations for this movie.

I say that because the movie is supposed to be very fast-paced while still showing a shitton of stuff in TFA. I think there will be multiple lightsaber battles. The movie IS 2 hours and 15 minutes long, afterall, and I'm not saying for sure that those two things will happen within the first hour, exactly, but it COULD happen with the immediate aftermath being explored for the last half while showing Rey's true potential and something bad happening to one of the big bad three.
