Hayden Christensen recently opened up about his time playing Anakin Skywalker in the prequels and Obi-Wan Kenobi, talking about the casting process and what it was like working with Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman.

In an interview with Esquire, he even revealed that he loves The Clone Wars, admitting that he felt 'indebted' to Dave Filoni for his work with Anakin, which he believes did a lot to flesh out the character.

He added that watching The Clone Wars helped influence his performance when reprising the role of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Before that, he spoke about what it was like auditioning for the role of Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones, and how the chance to really understand this character was an attractive part of that opportunity.

Hayden also spoke about growing up as a Star Wars fan, which surely only increased his excitement at getting to play Vader in his adult life.

When it came to reprising the role in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the chance to wear the Vader suit full time was naturally a big draw. He revealed what it was like filming that final fight scene in the series finale:

He even gave some insight into how showrunner Deborah Chow directed the scene:

He also spoke about working with Ewan McGregor in the prequels, and how his admiration for the actor mirrored Anakin's own feelings towards Obi-Wan:

The two have kept in touch ever since their time filming Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Hayden also spoke about working with Natalie Portman, already a star in her own right when they were filming Attack of the Clones. He learned a lot from her when it came to interacting with the fans, lessons that he still utilizes today.

Esquire brought up the harrowing scene with the younglings in Revenge of the Sith, and Hayden talked about what it was like to portray Anakin in such a dark moment. He laments that Anakin wasn't able to get the help he needed from the Jedi in Episode III.

Hayden also spoke about how long it took to learn all the lightsaber choreography for the films and the series after attending 'lightsaber training camp', which sounds like a wonderful place:

The Canadian actor mentioned at the end of the interview that he'd love another opportunity to suit up as Darth Vader again. Perhaps one day he'll get his wish.
