Force ghost. Just like Qui Gon on Mortis. They bring Kenobi back. I would like to see a Yoda

 

I see well she has been tied to the Skywalkers throughout the TFa speculation & now she meets a Skywalker at the end. BTW thanks for being my 115th follower

I know that Anakin joined Yoda and Obi Wan in RotJ as a force ghost, but I believe this was not planned in the first place. (ANH/ESB)
I guess the idea behind the force ghost scenario is that Obi Wan was the first and possible last Jedi who achieved life after death.

Was there not considered that Obi Wan would join Luke as materialized human being to help him in the final battle in the very early production stage?

 

Loved Alec Guinness's performances even though he didn't care for the trilogy. He was fantastic. However, even though I hated the prequels (actually more 1 and 2) Ewan was fantastic. And if they CGI him to look similar to Alec or older man, I would not be against that.

Haydon Christiansen is a different matter entirely. One of the worst sins Lucks did was putting in Hayden at the end of ROTJ. I have nothing against him and he wasn't given a great script but Luke talking to Hayden force ghost doesn't appeal to me.

Ewan I am happy with. Actually I would prefer a Obi Wan stand alone film to a Han Solo film even though I am an Original Trilogy guy.

 

Holy crap! I hadn't considered that! For some reason, Hayden visiting kylo as a force ghost didn't bother me. From an actors perspective. From a Star Wars perspective I'm not sure how much sense it makes that a ghost from the light side would visit someone on the dark path. Why wouldn't obi-wan just torment the blast out of Vader then? He certainly rode him hard enough as anakin! But I digress...I CANNOT imagine a young anakin (as in the force ghost from the end of ROTJ) visiting Luke and telling him ANYTHING!

Why would Luke put up with it? Why listen at all? "You wouldn't even BE a force ghost if it wasn't for me, so shut up Dad!". And from an actors perspective!?! Hayden circling Hamill and lecturing him in ANY capacity would be rediculous. Just my two cents...

As long as it brings something to the story ...

 

Based on Rey's vision on TFA, I find it very likely that not only Obi-Wan, but possibly Yoda might make some sort of appearence in the next episodes.

When I first saw TFA I actually pictured somewhen down the line (maybe episode 9) a scene with many force ghost Jedis showing up! Maybe something to do with restoring the Jedi temple/ Order.

And let's not forget, I persoanlly feel that Vader's force ghost is practically -mandatory- in the sequel trilogy. I mean, he showed up in episode 6, and the first draft script for the sequel included him as well. I bet he'll be there, it is obvious how central he is to the whole SW saga.


Summing up, I'm all for force ghosts aparitions!

 

This is exactly what i've always tought about the words of Obi Wan to Darth Vader, he would became something that no one has ever seen.

That being said i believe there will be no more force ghosts on Star Wars anymore, i've already stated elsewhere on this site that the moral and ambiguous ideas from George Lucas have no place on Disney's vision so NO Force Ghosts, NO Force Conceived Child, NO Choosen One, NO Clones and above everything no Ghosts or spirits because of the importance of the Asian Movie Market.

I would love to see a "Goodfather 2" scheme, on one hand the story developed as a continuation of the Episode VII and on the other hand we would be following the old Obi Wan Kenobi while discovering the story of Snoke, Yoda and Vader could even appear (think this would be great and satisfying for ever SW Fan)

I want to see them both too, but it should not feel shoe-horned.
There are good chances for a comeback, both voices are still alive. (not retired yet)

Keeping on the Mafia Movies Theme, i always tought the best way to speed the pace in the first movies of the prequels was using "Goodfellas" off camera narrator technique.

 

I want to see Lando in ep8 also, a replacement for Han like they did for empires...
