Ever since J:FO came out, there have been consistent fan desire for and rumors about Cameron Monaghan eventually transitioning CK into Live-Action. (There were even some fake leakers last year who insisted Cal Kestis would somehow make it in to Obi-Wan Kenobi , which, of course, was all just bantha poodoo). With JS now out, said rumors and wonts are bubbling to the surfing again, and I wonder how people think this could work?

Granted, I have only watched about 4,5 hours of a JS YouTube walkthrough (thanks for the link @MBWilson!), but... already in the story, CK is madly powerful...

Assuming people don't just want hours of Cameron Monaghan wading through Stormtroopers and gangsters, and occasionally threatening entire planetary ecosystems with his slaughter sprees, just exactly how do adherents to a live-action CK scenario see a story on TV might working? Unless you're going to have him butt heads with Vader in some grand epic that runs parallel with the OT and the post-PT timeline shows, what would CK be doing?

Basically, I see him weighted by the familiar post-RotJ-Luke's-too-powerful-to-do-anything-with syndrome, and I can't quite see how they'd use him in Live-action, (which, of course, is a very different media to video games). Thoughts?

Cal and the Mantis crew could provide some virgin ground in that time period, even running up through to the Mandoverse. If they were going to continue on with the OWK storylines, they could easily do so without touching too much on the big three of Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia.

]With what we know now about Cere's connection to the Hidden Path, it almost seems perfectly set up to continue that part of OWK's story and could be done with merely cameos by Ewan.

There has been enough tie in with Saw, Vader and other established characters, but there is WAY more unfamiliar territory to build on. Cal, Cere, Merrin, and Greez definitely have fun potential for live-action stories.

Since the mo-cap actor for Cal Kustis is a reasonably seasoned actor for his age with more than enough chops to carry off the character he's already created in the video game, and they did draw the character to look just like the actor, there's no reason why they can't throw him into the live action fray similarly to how they did Bo Katan / Katie Sackhoff. The actor can make it work, no problem. He's also in the same boat as, say, Kanan Jarrus from Rebels, because he's an orphaned padawan trying to stay alive vs Order 66. He could find himself running around with Hera's crowd no problem.
