How would you do it?

I love the story but would've made very subtle changes. Overall, these changes are my personal taste

- Luke would not carelessly toss his saber
- Holdo would behave more sympathetically so on additional viewings once the viewer knows she really does have the Resistance's best interest at heart they can see where she is coming from easier.
- Leia would've been much closer to the ship when she pulls herself in, or just cleaning this scene up in any way. Additionally, let us see Ackbar in space or something.
- Give Kylo more additional animosity towards Rey in their first vision
- Do not have Luke taunt Kylo at the end, more apologetic
- Show Luke's reaction to Han's death. Have this influence his lack of faith in Kylo vocally
- Less goofy Casino hijinks even though overall I like this scene & the characters it introduced. Also have more recognizable species since the overall tone doesn't feel as much like Star Wars
- No close up on Snoke's dead face
- Holdo's kamikaze should've been Ackbar IMO, or Leia (but they may still have something in mind for her character)

Overall I am fine with all of these though & they do not take away from the film for me, but if I were Rian Johnson this is what I would've done.

 

2 or 3 modifications only. The rest is perfect and unique in the SW universe.

 

Haha, that one is on us fan boys with all our sucking theories. It's the movie telling us -Don't go there, he's DEAD, just don't!

 

- Opening with chase scene (it's fine as it is)
- Luke meet Rey and ask: Why are you here?
- Luke told Rey about the temple, and why is he here "To find a way to save Ben"
- Luke agree to come with Rey on MF after has a lecture from Yoda :"The risk, it is. But greater failure, discouragement/wariness is."
- Luke and Rey meet Raddus in the same time as Leia being blow up out of space - Luke use his force skill to save her.
- Luke said goodbye to in coma Leia. Leia hand move a little because of force connection between the two.
- Luke and Rey aboard the Supremacy in hope of turning Ben back to the light side and they will defeat Snoke together.
- Snoke meet Luke :" Ah, master Luke, the most powerful Jedi ever, and the last one ever. Why are you here? Come to face the greatest evil perhap? Or save the boy that you tried to kill?"
- With conversation, we learned that Snoke fought Vader before, and his scar is result of the fight. He vowed revenge against Skywalker family. He mastered both dark and light side of the force through ancient temple of both side with forbidden techniques.
- Snoke taunted Luke into a fight to show Kylo Ren that how strong the dark side is, and show him what side is for him to strive for, in a way ending his conflict.
- Luke is defeated under Snoke hand. Snoke order Kylo to kill his masters, "have your revenge".
- Luke ask Ben:" Will you forgive me, child?". Kylo:" You didn't give me a chance before." then proceed to barbecue stick Luke. ALL THIS in front of Rey's eyes.
- Leia's eyes shred tears while in her coma.
- Rey is captured in Supremacy, half the res fleet is dead, Ben is still conflicted because he thought he should be stronger by now.
- Ben and Rey has conversation, reach out for each other mind.
- With the raddus is the only one left in the fleet, Snoke tell Kylo to bring Rey up his throne room.
- Snoke tell Rey to look through the magnifying glass to see the Res is ended.
- Snoke hold Rey in front of him (keep the scenes he playing with Rey), order Ren to kill her - "Fulfill your destiny"
- Kylo full of thoughts right now, then proceed to barbecue stick Snoke in his surprise.
- Now we're back to Kylo and Rey fighting the guards.
- The sequences when Kylo as Rey to join him because both of them has no one left to care for now - Rey lost both her figure fathers, Ren lost his father and uncle by his own hands. They're all alone. They're destined for each others. As him believed.
- Rey:" Nope".

And then we have Crait fight and Rey lifting the rock then pass out.

Tada now we have ep9 with many of ep 7 questions answered.

And Luke go out with a fight and die for what he believed :" Forgiveness is what make a Jedi." - Just as him believed in his father before him.

It's not hard to write a movie.
2 hours and all bullshits from RJ.

 

Ray persuades Luke to train her.

The FO are in pursuit of the Rebels.

Finn and Rose leave the ship to find the code breaker without the unnecessary casino bit. A bit more dark like in Rogue One.

The FO catches the rebel ships and hold them all captive on their ship. Luke senses this with his link to Leia.

Luke in his X Wing with Ray and Chewy in the Falcon go to rescue them.

Luke takes on Snoke and Ray takes on Kylo.

Finn takes on Plasma

Poe takes command of the bridge of the Imperial Cruiser.

Then.......a jaw dropping moment that leads us into SW 10 !!!!



HOW fecking hard is it to write a good Star Wars movie. I get paid nothing to produce a masterpiece and Rian gets paid millions to write drivel. The world is unjust.

 

Snoke and his red guards are too powerful for Luke but Leia comes to the rescue armed with a lightsaber. Imagine Leia with a lightsaber !! Star Wars history. Lets say its white !!!

Snoke manages to escape with his guards but takes Leia hostage.

The imperial cruiser piloted by Poe crash lands on Crait. That would be cool.

Ray has taken Kylo prisoner.

On Crait Luke persuades Kylo to turn to the light side.

Luke, Kylo, and Ray return in SW 10 to take on Snoke and rescue Leia.

Am I gifted writer or what ?

No , you made it perfectly : have two old farts like Hammil and Fisher jumping around like ninja turtles , you know , Dooku and Palpatine style in prequels , Disney bosses prolly eating theyr guts right now if they see your post.

 

Snoke is no spring chicken to be fair. He is much older than them two.

I liked Dooku BTW. He was one of the coolest characters (apart from mark) in Star Wars.

That's why Snoke doesn't do flick flacks in the air like Dooku did in pt , he is used verry well, as Luke was , just a couple of swings and that's it , the rest is about using the force ( wich of course , they are strong in, beeing older ) ; Leia , not so much with that Superman move , but that's on George Lucas , if force users can lift ( huge ) objects , why can't they lift themselves?

 

Kylo should have told Rey she was Luke's daughter, Snoke should have been revealed as an ancient Sith, and Luke should have physically gone to Crait and sacrificed himself after an epic duel with Kylo. Rey only lifts one big rock at the end.

Rian made it feel like a different saga, all because it had to be unpredictable..

 

I get where Ryan is coming from now. To many old people doing silly things. That is why he culled them.

So I guess RJ's vision of Star Wars is like an intergalactic remake of 'The Famous Five'.

Ray, Poe, Finn, Rose and BB8 vs Kylo and Hux.

Thrilling. I can't wait.
