    Either that's her ship or they scrapped the concept of her ship but kept the design for set dressing.

    For example, one of the rejected designs of General Greivious became his bodyguards

    Good point, designs always change and evolve. In fact, the "ball droid" was one of the initial McQuarrie concepts for R2D2.
    I think in this scene, the droid is frantically rushing to catch a leaving ship, which may or may not be the one in the top left corner
