You're welcome. Me either. It's a shame this series is only 4 issues. Think they could have had a couple more at least. Can also see how it's not good sometimes to drag a story along too.

Did anyone else wonder why the Naboo Starfighters from TPM are still in use at this point, at least 35 years after they were introduced? Not only are they old, but I find it strange that the Empire would have allowed Naboo to maintain its own defensive force, separate from the empire.

Not yet (going to happen this weekend, along with Chewbacca #1). The thought only went through my head seeing the picture of the naboo fighters heading at the star destroyer.

    Mmmmmmm no.

I was slightly disappointed that Sosha Soruna wasn't actually one of Padme's nieces but I suppose expecting Leia to learn about her Naberrie family in a 4-issue packed miniseries was a bit of a big ask. Love that they're keeping up the diversity in Marvel Star Wars.

I really don't want to lose these characters! But if we do, I had the same thoughts about Leia having some hand in raising Poe.

I'm interested to learn about Poe's personality in TFA. He may end up being this hot shot pilot who's got a chip on his shoulder because of his parents role in the rebellion or he could be a sympathetic leader due to the experience of losing (POSSIBLY) his parents in battle.

Either way, issue 4 of shattered empire is gonna be great!

Read the comic ;) - there is a quite solid answer to your question.

Thanks @Kyle for the consistent good work, you don't have to do this but you do it and that deserves some appreciation.

Really really digging this series, and I think this issue was quite solid. Wish there was more to help tide us over until TFA but... the fact that it ends next week and we have all the trailer hype looks good!

My one problem was their way Home One was drawn, assuming it was Home One not another mc-80. It looked a bit basic and had that weird black outline, and didn't really capture the cool organic-ness of Mon Calimari ships. Did anyone else notice there were a few new rebel frigate models?

For anyone interested (although, let's be honest we've probably all already read it if we're here), the preview is up on starwars.com for issue 4 (opening crawl, cover, 2 variant covers, and 3 pages), beware minor spoilers:

There is a typo in the opening crawl that activates my inner grammar nazi - 'the his".

You are correct, I was able to get caught up on all the new comics over the weekend, and it explained everything perfectly. I actually liked seeing that some systems kept military equipment in hiding, it kind of sets the stage for how the rebellion quickly turned into a new republic that could beat back the remnant of the empire, even though they suffered heavy losses at Endor. The idea that there are planets who are simply waiting for the right time to bring their hidden assets into play against the empire actually ties up what I thought was a major loose end in what we know about the post endor galaxy.

There are some awesome ideas on this thread. I particularly dig the idea of Leia having psychometric Force capabilities.
