    It was a tug-of-war that Kylo lost because Rey's just as strong as - if not stronger than - him. He admitted it. We didn't see Luke train before doing the exact same thing on Hoth.

    She has combat training! She's applying her staff techniques to a sword (hence all of the stabs early on)! And Kylo Ren was injured badly.

    I don't think she was ever angry when fighting. Fierce does not equal angry. And it's not like Luke's "Use the Force" moment with the Death Star was too far off from Rey's own fight. And again, applied combat training against a heavily injured opponent.
    We don't know if she's seen it before or not. She might have seen it in the past and might just be trying it out for the first time. You can hold this critique until Episode VIII, but if she turns out to be a former Jedi Padawan and/or Luke's kid...

    The Masters were always trying to get their apprentices to learn and open up more about the Force. It was guidance in that sense, especially if you go by OT standards. And you can't critique her on not having a master in the first movie of a new trilogy! We didn't see Anakin as Obi-Wan's padawan until Attack of the Clones, and Luke didn't meet and train with Yoda until Empire. Don't worry, your Master/Apprentice chain will come. Be patient.

    Big difference in making an excellent dart throw onto a bullseye (part lucky referring to Luke blowing up the DS) than watching Rey do what she did with no formal training. Deeeeeeeerrrrr

    Luke fought Vader as a Padawan Leaner... why he lost.... deeeeeerrrrrr

    Luke was there and saw Obi Wan do a jedi mind trick.... and probably researched to build a lightsaber in aechives....... deeeeeerrrr

    Anakin did that stuff because he was awesome.... something you cant fathom..... deeeeeeerrr

    Also, why can't this logic just be applied to Rey? Isn't she, too, awesome? Don't you think that her "awesome"-ness, like Anakin's was to the PT, is likely the linchpin of the ST? That those perceived gaps in reason can be done away with a flick of the wrist and a casual assurance that Rey is just "awesome"?

    Or did you just not like the movie? Because that's okay, too. Or maybe being a contrarian makes you feel smart?

    But seriously, TFA sucked and theres plenty other people who think the same and have the same opinions. Unless Disney backtracks with Rey and the force, claiming she had her memory wiped, it will never fit into canon.

    Nuff said. You can't justify it.

    Rey had parents. Anakin was made by the force. Big difference.

    Disney can only save it if they somehow make her into a creation of the midichlorian or she had previous training with her memory wiped. Only ways out for Disney.
