Michelle Rejwan, who was promoted to Senior Vice President of Live Action Development & Production at Lucasfilm during the summer of 2019, is now leaving the position. Rejwan will return to producing for Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Studios overall, operating out of the company's offices, Deadline is reporting.

Rejwan's job as Senior VP involved overseeing all live-action content development for Lucasfilm, which included the production of the Disney Plus series Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor. She was an executive producer on those, as well as Lawrence Kasdan's docuseries Light & Magic and the upcoming Willow sequel series. Even though she is stepping down from the position, she will still be producing upcoming Star Wars projects, including Taika Waititi's long-awaited movie, which is still in the early stages of development.

The former Bad Robot producer became a member of the Lucasfilm Creative 'Brain Trust' in 2015, four years prior to taking on the Senior VP role, where she served as a co-producer on J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens and as an executive producer on The Rise of Skywalker. With Bad Robot, Rejwan co-produced Star Trek: Into Darkness and was an associate producer on Super 8. As Senior VP for Lucasfilm, she was essentially Kathleen Kennedy's second-in-command and helped shape the current and upcoming slate of Star Wars movies and Disney Plus series.

No new projects for Lucasfilm or Disney were announced as part of her new producer deal.
