Besides, Rey going evil doesnt jive with the preponderance of material we have been given by none other than MSW, of course. She is comforted when Finn and Co. come back for here. She shoves Kylo's inadequacies in his face during and interrogation, she hand delivers Lukes saber with Chewie and the Falcon - after Chewie plays with her hair. On and on...

I just dont see how the two fit together. Not to say it cant or wont, just that I dont see it from where I am sitting at the moment.

 

I'm not disagreeing with you but to me any skywalker in the darkside is too predictable and repetitive. Having said that I believe Rey falling seems a little bit more likely than Kylo being a Skywalker.

 

I hope not.

I want a feel good Star Wars. A fun movie that isnt overly heavy.

If I wanted heavy I would put on The Notebook or Steel Magnolias, or some other tearjerker. I want the OT feeling over again. Not some emotional sob-bomb where I leave angry and empty.

Empire left me ready to kick some Imperial Darth Ass. This would not create the same emotions.

 

I will state again, although there are things pointing that way, it's little more than conjecture on our part, but if Rey falls, that would make Finn the hero of the new trilogy (which I actually think will be 4 films but I'll save that for another day) giving Star Wars a black protagonist and a female badass antagonist, which fits with KK's comments about a more diversified galaxy.

I've said it before with this Rey thesis, I've even put comic strip images up on this board, the old jedi v sith tales produced back in 1998. It reaks of Darth Bane and his apprentice Darth Zannah. A little girl called 'Rain' tapping into the force killing padwans, psychic aliens telling her destiny is to be a dark jedi, running of into a jungle wanting to commit suicide, coming from an imperial dessert moon planet, crashing into a jungle planet where she's never seen tree's before. EU is supposed to be scrapped....

 

Much respect to Billy Dee but I couldn't care less about seeing Lando again, i'd have killed him off in the first scene if I wrote episode 7.. starting a revenge plot for Han and Luke.

I also would have had a bunch of jawas blow up the Sarlacc pit with a couple of thermal detonators, sweet dreams Boba.

This is what fits... female sith in Episode 8, it may make some angry... the thing that would do that would be one of the original OT characters turning to the dark side. We won't be invested in the new characters enough yet to be angry.

She will do what Darth Vader did not... rule the galaxy, not as Father and Son, but as Mother and Son! Besides Carrie Fisher is really kind of crazy so its not a major stretch for her... Well, the fallen one has to be Han and Lando will someone come out of hiding to avenge his death? OK. Female sith, could be Phasma or maybe Rey turning towards the dark side. If if were Rey, would she find out Han was her father and just go on her own? Would you learn under Kylo or Serkis' character? Would she join Luke and then turn on him? Hmmm....

 

How dare you dismiss Darth Bane and his trilogy If that is the case, what of Anakin's own destiny. Crazy old sith guy makes him born without a biological father, somehow two jedi end up on Tatooine the same planet where Anakin is, they need him in a podrace to live, boy becomes super jedi and eventually slaughters every Jedi; Then his son and daughter lead a rebellion against him. Star Wars and it's destiny's.

I was just joking and i dont think kylo is related to leia and han. I think the new rumors of him being the son of a dying king are more plausible.

 

I feel like "justdropingin" is a troll account and I curious if it's a MSW guy.

 

Not sure if "justdropingin" is apart of MSW, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of them used a sockpuppet account and trolled around here.
