Disney and Lucasfilm have shared a new Andor featurette which focuses on the making of episodes 4 to 6, which comprise the second story arc of the series.

The new promotional video features showrunner Tony Gilroy and star Diego Luna discussing what it was like to make the slow-burn but ultimately explosive second arc of the show. Sadly, instead of new behind-the-scenes footage, we get a chat over clips from the episodes. Watch it below:

Gilroy explains how their intention was to go big as soon as Cassian Andor left Ferrix, starting to unveil the full picture of the struggle against the Empire and pushing each major character forward. Of course, that includes Mon Mothma and Dedra Meero, both of whom didn't show up until episode 4.

Luna praises the inclusion of Lieutenant Gorn, who shows Cassian there's some decent people working for the Empire who are willing to stand up and fight against injustice when red lines are crossed. He then confirms 'there's no way back' for Cassian now regardless of the doubts he might still have -- the end of episode 6 certainly wasn't a peaceful one for the character.

This isn't the first quick featurette of Andor that Disney and Lucasfilm have released; last month we got a brief but unexpected look at how the production team approached the series' many settings and their respective types of architecture through the official National Geographic social media channels.

Stay tuned for our in-depth review of episode 7 tomorrow, along with The Resistance Broadcast's live discussion later in the day.
