StarWars.com has released an excerpt of From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi featuring Dexter Jettster. The jolly, larger-than-life Besalisk is reflecting on his past on Coruscant as reports come in of the destruction of the second Death Star.

The anthology series From a Certain Point of View gathers a plethora of authors to tell short stories about some of the minor characters within Star Wars. Like previous entries, the Return of the Jedi will feature 40 short stories from 40 different authors. It will also include illustrations by Chris Trevas. Some of the other characters featured include Mon Mothma and Admiral Ackbar.

As mentioned above, the excerpt is part of the story called The Veteran, by Adam Lance Garcia. Here's the excerpt from From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi, provided in full:

For fans who don't know, Lenahra is the planet where Dexter met Obi-Wan Kenobi. Even though he is not named, that's likely the boy the story is referring to.

From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi will be available as a physical book, ebook, or audiobook on August 29.
