    I read there was a theory that DJ could also be cardinal? Any thoughts?

    I also have heard this theory, and it has stuck with me. There is little doubt that he wants Phasma's head on a platter, and I think he's going to use Rose and Finn to try to achieve it....but they're going to get caught in the process, because he's going sell them out.

    If Finn cut phasma arm, maybe if DJ is cardinal he 'll finish her off?

    Question if DJ is cardinal, could it affect Finn? I imagine that when he was a kid, it was cardinal who " raised " FN 2187 as a stormtrooper?

    That would be good for Finn's development as a character, it would also enrich his arc in general.

    Potentially yes, but I think we're going to see Phasma actually do something "good"...AND I've theorized that she'll leave the FO, but we'll see! :)

    i've never got the idea that DJ and Finn know each other, but i guess that could work. one theory i was reading had it that Maz is the one suggesting they go to DJ for help, but i guess Finn knowing him is as likely.

    as for DJ being Cardinal, that seems like a stretch. there's some back story there from the book, but i highly doubt the average movie goer would connect those dots.

    If Cardinal showed his face to FN 2187... If he never showed his face, there is no way, Finn will recognize him. But they will know each other still. We may have a bit of a back story about DJ because he is connected in a way to Finn's past.

    If he isn't at all ( not being cardinal ) there is no way,they will spent time to make connections and back story for DJ character.

    It will be very incredible for Finn to meet his ex Boss who had been betrayed by Phasma ( and the FO ) and saved my a resistance girl, to discover one of his ex kid stormtrooper betrayed the FO and they found each other again? Both being probably really reluctant to go back at the FO , or to help the resistance... because both of them are bitter or doesn't want to be part of that anymore?

    It would have to at LEAST be mentioned on-screen, but even then, it could be put forth in less than a half-dozen lines actually.
