A day after the big release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer, as well as the first set of pictures by Entertainment Weekly, EW had more to share today. The magazine just dropped the first official look at Darth Vader in the new series (see it below), in addition to quotes from actor Hayden Christensen and writer Joby Harold on the character.

Having Hayden back in the role has raised a lot of questions ever since it was announced -- why have him? Is it just a nod to fans, or will he be unmasked during the series? The actor won't reveal any secrets:

However, he did offer this promising statement:

Series writer Joby Harold was also asked how much Vader we could expect in the show, a question that is certainly pertinent after watching the teaser trailer with no Vader in it (except for his breathing at the very end). He teased:

While the picture isn't much on its own, it marks the beginning of a wonderful time. The Obi-Wan Kenobi marketing train has left the station and is not stopping anytime soon. There are less than 80 days between the posting of this article and the release of the first episode on Disney Plus. If you want to know more, you can check out our story from last summer where we revealed more details about Vader's appearance in the series. You can read that story here, but avoid it if you prefer to go into the series completely fresh beyond officially released information.

Obi-Wan Kenobi debuts on Disney Plus May 25th.
