    ...You have to save an image to your desktop and then pick it as an avatar. Note that it will have to be a relatively small image.

    Earlier today I got a message saying there was a board update or something and ever since then I can't open menu or alerts I that get. Like when I recieve notices for someone liking my post or other things.

    I had no problems before that. Always ran smoothly. I can only get on the internet on my phonr or Tablet

    That's most likely it - he probably hasn't.

    Funnily enough, neither have I. I guess there's just a large slump where you don't get any trophies unless you post constantly over an extended period of time.

    I don't like to admit this but I have one person on block, for some reason I can't block them on my phone. There messages keep popping up, I do skip them when I see the username but it would be for me a lot easier not too see there messages at all. I hope people don't think badly because of this but this poster I genuinely find offensive. I kind of feel guilty for asking for this :(

    Hi guys,

    Hey, I've been trying to upload photos today and I keep getting a red bar and error warning that says there was a problem uploading the file.

    This is the first time I've had the problem, and I'm stumped as to what the cause is. Any advice would be appreciated. :D

    Yeah, I still get the same error message. I think it's a problem with my PC and/or my browser, and not SW7N. Firefox keeps crashing and resetting itself, and I'm getting all sorts of strange windows error messages I've never seen before. I may need to re-format my hard drive.

    Hi Viral,

    Yes, I've tried different photo file sizes, and photos of both file types jpeg, and png. I even tried uploading photos I've already uploaded here successfully in the past, and no luck.


    When I hit upload, I get in this font framed in red-

    "The following error occurred"

    Then below the red bar, it says-

    "There was a problem uploading your file."

    Which is then followed by the file name.


    I've tried re-setting a bunch of stuff, tinkering with settings, and making sure my browser allows SW7N through various security settings, but nothing works.

    It's a real head scratcher!

    Yes, very strange indeed. A few days ago we changed some certificates and now the forum is https and not http. But even if you use the old http address it will redirect you to https. I will send this to our admins and see what they think.

    Well, looks like I solved the problem.

    I went into my site preferences page, and unchecked the box next to "Use the Flash-based uploader to upload attachments", and now I can upload photos again.

    Don't understand what difference that makes, but it fixed the problem.
