First, the difference is you're asking. Second, you don't act like a tool in a regular basis.

I've never once said he wasn't part of the family, he can't be part of te story going foward etc... Just IF they are going to continue the Skywalker saga you need a character(s) with the last name Skywalker from a production/marketing stand point. You don't remove the titular family name from the saga.

Well I did get Darth Vader on a recent test lol actually I always get him when I take a SW test.

Back on topic though, I just can't see Rey Solo making sense, though it was a thought long ago before I knew more of the timeline. The movie, the books... it just doesn't connect and they are not twins either. He is 10 years older than her. If it did happen, I am curious to how it could be explained.

@Canadian Ronin that's your view and I respect it, but help me understand then... he's the grandson of Darth Vader. He once wielded Anakin's saber most likely, his uncle is Luke Skwalker... his own bloodline was used against him, so how is he not connected to the Skywalkers?

And yes, when you are going to make a series called "THE SKYWALKER SAGA" you need someone with the titular name in the series.

The Saga movies are about the Skywalkers. We need Skywalkers to be at the center of them. Unless you think Episode IX is the end of the saga (which I think is a bit short sighted - do you really thnk Disney spent 4 billion on one of if not the most lucrative franchise in all of film to make 3 movies in the main series then stop?) we need a new generation of Skywalkers to carry the series forward. And while Ben (if he even turns to the goodside and doesn't die in the ST) and his children are part of the family but have the wrong last name.

I get what you are saying that might not be 'named' a Skywalker. But I think that in the eyes of most...he IS a Skywalker and him having the written name of it wont matter. I think that even you agree he is a Skywalker but just bears not that name, right?
Well...I am curious about why we never find out the last name of 3 main protagonists of ST....do you think that is accidental?
