Has anyone seen Boyhood? Aside from it being a cleverly crafted film, there was a star wars reference that cracked me up.
The premise of the movie is that they filmed bits of scenes around one young boy each year for a week, starting in 2002 and up to the present, so it follows him from 1st grade to when he's about to leave for college.
One scene occurs when he's in jr high, so this scene was filmed way before they ever announced Disney's acquiring of Star Wars in 2012 or a sequel trilogy. The son says to his father: "Do you think they will make a sequel to Return of the Jedi?" to which the dad replies "Nah, they concluded it pretty well. There's no story left to tell."
It was hillarous, but also it felt like a time capsule to the few years before 2012, how many fans felt that Star Wars, for all intents and purposes, was finished filming more movies.

I just watched that movie today with my mom - and, given that she knows that I write for this site regularly, she was giggling hysterically throughout that entire conversation.
