The Costume Designers Guild announced this week the winners of this year's edition of their Awards. Star Wars was up in the category of Excellence in Sci-Fi/Fantasy Television via Shawna Trpcic's work on The Mandalorian Chapter 22, 'Guns for Hire', and Ahsoka Part Eight, 'The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord'.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday, and Trpcic was announced as the winner for her work on the latter episode. Sadly, the costume designer passed away last October and couldn't be there to accept it. The ceremony took place at NeueHouse in Hollywood, but we don't know yet who took it on her behalf. Other nominees included Christine Wada, for her work on Loki‘s “1893,” Laura Montgomery for the What We Do in the Shadows episode “Pride Parade”, and Lucinda Wright for the episode of The Witcher titled “The Art of Illusion.”

The designer was also up for an Emmy nomination earlier this year for her work on 'Guns for Hire', though it ultimately went to House of the Dragon. Ahsoka did not qualify for this last edition of the Emmys, so it's possible we could see Shawna Trpcic land a fourth nomination.

Ahsoka has been renewed for a second season, which Dave Filoni is currently developing. The Mandalorian & Grogu will be the next time we see Din Djarin and his apprentice; the film is to begin production this summer.
