I can't really say that I had just one favorite scene but if I were to pic one that brings back truly fond memories it would have to be the one where we first see Amanaman! I never knew of his existance until the Jabba's Dungeon playset came out. My mind was instantly blown away by the awesomeness of this figure that I now possesed and who was completly different than any SW figure everyone had ever seen before. I made it my mission to find him in the film and to my great surprise he was indeed there! I then saw him around Jabba's palace many times but it was seeing him for the first time that really brings back awesome memories!

 

This scene is Star Wars for me. Luke's been my favorite character for longer than I can remember (and I remember watching Jedi in 1983), and this scene is the fulfillment of his arc. It's the climax of the PT and the OT both, for me, and anything that happens in the future will be affected by it.

 

Han solo being frozen in carbonite. The notion of romance within the darkest of times is really difficult to pull off and make it believable and relatable by having strong characters you care for and if you watch the scene the first time you don't know if Han dies or not.

Second one, which shares the spot of my fav scene with the carbonite one, is when Luke first meets Ben Kenobi and he is reminded of the name "Obi Wan Kenobi". Alec Guiness' acting is just so freaking brilliant that by only music setting in and his presence you get an absolute clear emotion transported that is a masterpiece example of a movie principle "show don't tell"

I loved the way the trilogy opened. That Star Destroyer was just SO BIG! It just kept coming and coming, and you realized Princess Leia's ship is both outflanked and hopelessly outmatched. And, after what seemed like 20 minutes in the theater, when the tail end of the Star Destroyer finally came into view, the whole theater shook with the roar of those glowing engines. I was a fanboy at that moment. Damn, what an opening scene!

I loved Anakin's funeral, too. I figured Luke would eventually beat Vader to conclude the trilogy, but I didn't expect the emotional impact. John Williams scored the scene perfectly, and burning the body just seemed so much more appropriate than digging a hole in the ground.

For me it's probably the Bespin duel between Vader and Luke. The entire thing is fantastic.

But specifically, it's later in the duel, when Vader has knocked Luke out the window. Luke goes back into the structure searching for the hiding Vader, who unveils himself with a big stroke right in front of Luke's face and proceeds to hammer away at him, in a sort of "playtime's over" moment. Love it.

 

My favorite OT scene-

 

It must bebthe attack on the first death star, specifically, Luke's last run with Obi-Wan's voice guiding him.
There better scenes in both later movies, but this one was maybe the one scene that changed my life. That may sound over-dramatic, but I assure you it’s not. So, "trust the Force, Luke" is it for me.

 

Gets me every time. How often do the heroes get their butts kicked so badly to end a movie. Just so unique and emotional.

I'm not into romance but they way they show us Han and Leia relationship was pretty funny and enjoyable.
And this scene....I remember laughing like crazy

 

I'm more of a Star Wars movie fan, rather than a Star Wars universe fan. When I say that, I mean that I look at the movies and have little interest in any other aspect of the universe.
Why am I telling you that? Because this scene is my favourite-

It's just so fast paced and funny and is the type of scene that I latched onto, while having nothing in it that couldn't be seen in any action movie. Love it.

That entire scene is fantastic. We learn about something called the Imperial Senate, the last vestige of the old republic and we learn it has been disbanded. We learn that the force is looked upon with scorn by some Imperial leaders, but only Tarkin can pull rank on Vader,

Also, I've seen this film, oh it must be 200 times at this stage and I never really paid much attention to the grey haired guy on the left in that pic. Why does he have a lighter uniform? Has he got a back story?

For empire I love

And for Jedi, though I love the original, I actually like the special edition version better. I can't believe I'm 13 days away from seeing what happens next.

And just for the laughs, because it incorporates one of my favorite scenes from another 80's trilogy I loved into a spoof of Star Wars.

For me it's the scene of Luke gazing out over the Tatooine desert while it's twin suns set in the distance, dreaming of adventures among the stars as John Williams iconic Force Theme plays in the background. Gives me chills every time.
