Instead of narrowing it done to one favorite moment or scene, share your choice for each of the following categories:
(PS - Spoiler tags aren't necessary here, so anything after this should be considered very dangerous to anyone who has not seen the film!)
    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment
    2. Funniest Scene
    3. Most Emotional
    4. Best Han Scene
    5. Coolest Lando Moment
    6. Favorite new character scene
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction
    8. Biggest nitpick
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg -
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want!

    I'll begin!

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment - Escape from Kessel / standoff at the Falcon
    2. Funniest Scene - Beckett working the Falcon's guns... "And I really hurt my thumbs."
    3. Most Emotional - Val's sacrifice
    4. Best Han Scene - Reunion with Lando / swiping his "ace up the sleeve"
    5. Coolest Lando Moment - His introduction
    6. Favorite new character scene - Dryden asking Beckett's crew to convince him not to kill them after the failed train heist
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction - When Chewie transfers auxiliary power to the rear deflector shields and becomes Han's co-pilot in place of Qi'Ra
    8. Biggest nitpick - Han giving all the coaxium to Enfys Nest... too much "good guy" too soon?
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg - Loved the reference of Bossk, don't know why!
    10. Dealer's choice - Han talking about his father building Corellian ships, specifically the YT-1300. For that being the sole mention of his family / parents in the entire trilogy, it was perfect.

    1. I'm sure it was because of the music change (ESB music drop), but the MF blazing through the maw gave me goosebumps.
    2. Man, there were a lot. I do love when Han bluffs and Lando bails in the MF. Lando's "I hate you" + Han's "I know" might have been my favorite, but tough choices.
    3. L3's death because of Lando's reaction. Surprising and effective.
    4. TOUGH CALL. So many good ones. It might have been the most predicable scene but I LOVED the final scene where he wins the ship. Classic Han is dripping throughout. Also loved his swagger and energy on the Kessel escape (the "Needles" bit was a nice touch too).
    5. Again, loved the last Lando scene at the card table, but also the holovid recording. Glover nailed it
    6. Beckett coaching up Han before the train heist
    7. Either when they meet, or when they are pilot/co pilot for the first time. All of Han/Chewie scenes were a delight.
    8. Two nitpicks: Hated the "equal rights" line (character was OK though) and I could have done without Han getting a last name. Both nitpicks just weren't necessary
    9. Fate of Aurra Sing! Small moment, but huge for me as a CW fan. I also loved "I hate you" + "I know" as an ESB ref.
    10. Too many good scenes! Much harder to think of scenes I didn't like. Bravo, Ron Howard et al!

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment - Damn you...too many (seriously..I had to make a thread and it's still not enough https://thecantina.starwarsnewsnet....lk-about-finally-having-an-action-film.54903/).

For the moment, I'll go with the Falcon barrel rolling to smack a TIE fighter.

Funniest Scene - L3...everything L3. I kept imagining L3 as French, and it was just damn hilarious. I clap laughed at Qi'ra's reactions to L3.

Most Emotional - If by this we mean emotion and not sad, then the Kessel run.

Best Han Scene - Han's showdown with Beckett.

Coolest Lando Moment - Han meeting Lando.

Favorite new character scene - Han's showdown with Beckett.

Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction - Chewie's reaction to Han speaking his language.

Biggest nitpick - Maul, but I really don't care.

Favorite reference / easter egg - Nearly the entire film; so many film references and nods. Star Wars reference? Hmm. Probably just his dice; not much of an egg, just good to see them.

Dealer's choice - Love the Corellian speeder chase!

    Cheers,
    Jayson

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment- The Kessel Run
    2. Funniest Scene- L3's revolution
    3. Most Emotional- Beckett's death
    4. Best Han Scene- The original Sabaac game
    5. Coolest Lando Moment- The "Captain Kirk" audio log
    6. Favorite new character scene- Enfys Nest's arrival to the train
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction- Their brief talk before the train heist
    8. Biggest nitpick- Not so much a "nitpick" as I'm surprised at the lack of known bounty hunters and Hutts...
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg -
      Maul
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want!- I also really liked the Savareen standoff, though I wish the tension had drawn out a little longer

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment Han and Chewie's first meeting
    2. Funniest Scene Second card game
    3. Most Emotional L8 / Lando
    4. Best Han Scene Flying the Falcon - Kessell Run
    5. Coolest Lando Moment First card game
    6. Favorite new character scene L8 freeing the droids
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction "You look great" and flying the falcon for the first time together
    8. Biggest nitpick Killing off cool characters too early
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg - "Why don't we hire Bossk?"
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want! As a fan of Chewie I was happy with all of his scenes; liked how a lot of the rumoured elements of the origin stories were shown but given a slight twist - it's Chewie who frees the Wookiees, and earlier Han works with Chewie to free both of them - a lot better than the old (legends??) version that had Han freeing Chewie and the Wookiees leading to him leaving the Empire.

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment
      • "Chicken in the pot". seriously nailed the weirdness of something like popular music in Star Wars.
    2. Funniest Scene
      • Han trashes the Falcon. feels proud. Lando says: "i hate you", Han answers "i know." i laughed so hard at this.
    3. Most Emotional
      • Han losing Qi'ra at the checkpoint was good. Val's sacrifice was really sad.
    4. Best Han Scene
      • the final showdown with Dryden Vos; it's messy and half-planned: so Han Solo.
    5. Coolest Lando Moment
      • on Kessell when they emerge from the mine and he's blasting away at people shooting up the Falcon.
    6. Favorite new character scene
      • Enfys Nest at the end when they take the mask off and it's the old woman, and then the real Enfys rains hell on them.
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction
      • right before the heist when Chewbacca tells Han his name.
    8. Biggest nitpick
      • some scenes too dark; some action sequences too long; L3 was annoying (but she died quick ~ ha!)
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg -
      • Bossk and whichever of the two tubes shows up at the end. and Warwick Davis! : D
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want!
      • just so many bits of wonderful world-building: the egg yolk and caviar that was made to look like weird Star Wars food; the sheer variety of credit chips; the strange silent settlement with the old bedouin-type folks and their interesting hats/weaves; the wonderful array of aliens in that first sabaac scene.
thank you Ron Howard/Kasdan for not feeling the need to explain to us how sabaac works!

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment - the Kessel run
    2. Funniest Scene - Han and Chewie in the shower
    3. Most Emotional - Han and Chewie standing in front of the Falcon for the fist time
    4. Best Han Scene - piloting the Falcon
    5. Coolest Lando Moment - first Sabacc game
    6. Favorite new character scene - anything with Qi'ra
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction - fighting in the Kessel mine
    8. Biggest nitpick - Lando mourning over L3 on the Falcon
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg - the Indiana Jones artifact in Voss' office
    10. Dealer's choice - I really liked the world/character building in this movie. It offers numerous options for the SWEU

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment - The escape from the Maw, Becket boosting the engine while Han counts him down and then pulls the trick that didn't work before on Corellia
    2. Funniest Scene - "I am Chewie's friend!" Sagwa ruffles his hair. - This killed me.
    3. Most Emotional - Qi'ra saying good bye to Han, without him realizing and saying that thinking about him made her smile.
    4. Best Han Scene - The first scene with Dryden Vos, the way he gets himself into the conversation and works on and through the plan with both Becket and Qi'ra. Thinking on his feet and being appropriately cocky, ending with "This went great" in the elevator; First time he sees the Falcon
    5. Coolest Lando Moment - Lando The Blogger :D
    6. Favorite new character scene - Beckett's badass introduction on Minban battlefield while Han watches.
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction - The entire 'after shower' scene, talking about not being free for a long time, nickname...& Han giving Chewie the weapon to free his people.
    8. Biggest nitpick - Enfys Nest reveal fell flat for me.
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg - Loved many, but especially the mentioning of VCX-100 (makes Han & Hera's FOD episode funnier) and, of course, Maul for possibilities.
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want! - The campfire scene was great, it made me want more from Val (the way she visibly warms up to Han and says that everyone needs someone), Chewie's 'speech' really tugs at your heart, great character moments for everyone; also Han and Lando talk about their families in the cockpit.
Clearly, I cheated on some of these, I couldn't pick one. :)

Great thread! You folks have really set the table nicely.....here goes
    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment- Hands down, Chewie hops in the copilot seat of the MF for the first time next to Han....Han looks over and smiles....awesomeness!!!!
    2. Funniest Scene- Second Sabacc game....I was thinking to myself before that game that Han needs to get that "cheat card" that Lando has and BAM that is what he does.....!!
    3. Most Emotional Qi'ra's goodbye with Han
    4. Best Han Scene Getting the Millenium Falcon
    5. Coolest Lando Moment "The Calrissian Chronicles" i.e. the Galaxy according to Lando
    6. Favorite new character scene Beckett in the trenches twirling dual blasters as an "Imperial Infantry" troop
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction The whole movie!!! no, seriously...uhhh...together at the end when Chewie puts his paw on Han's shoulder
    8. Biggest nitpick The movie was not long enough...about 15-20 mins more for character development
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg - Beckett killed Aurra Sing from the Clone Wars era
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want So much to talk about with this movie..... @Jayson and I need a whole other thread I think.....Not a specific scene but one thing everyone is forgetting is the Millenium Falcon and the UNIQUE perspectives we got of this iconic ship. Flipping switches in unison with the beat, the Falcon sound effects were perfect, also how about the views from inside the Falcon engines as Beckett injects the extra power. They really did a nice job making the Falcon really special and almost another character on its own....

    Right?
I can't wait until this weekend; my wife and I went this weekend, and we're taking our daughter's this coming weekend! Can't wait!
This can't come out on disc fast enough!

(p.s. I disagree on the length, but this is a personal choice here. I prefer whiplash fast stories that don't spend a lot of time on development - it adds more to films for me to show me less, and go at a faster pace. I really loved how fast-moving this film was. But that's my taste. :p)

    Cheers,
    Jayson

Without a shadow of a doubt for me " Leviathan" fighting against the pull of the Black hole on the Kessel is masterpiece and new entry in the Science fiction.

I bet I'm going to change my mind on most of these after my next viewing, but here goes for now. ;)
    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment This is hard to pin down, but I'm going with Han and Chewie in the Falcon at the end, flying off into the sunset into hyperspace.
    2. Funniest Scene I think when the Falcon finally lands collapses on Savareen and it's completely trashed and smoking, and yet Han is so proud.
    3. Most Emotional This one didn't hit me until the second time around when I realized its true meaning: When Qi'ra says, "Chewie needs you. And you're going to need him." *sob* Runner up: L-3's confusion and calling to Lando as she was dying got to me. :(
    4. Best Han Scene The Kessel Run. Classic seat-of-his-pants Han.
    5. Coolest Lando Moment Lando's vlog. Runner up: there was a moment right after that when Lando realizes that there is a revolt in the mines and he looks out the window and I could swear I was looking at BDW. It gave me goose bumps.
    6. Favorite new character scene Beckett's intro!
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction In the "monster" pit when they finally start to work together.
    8. Biggest nitpick I have a few but here's one... How did Beckett think they were going to pull off that train heist with only the three of them? Sure, Val says they should have hired some others (Bossk and some sisters? Surely it wasn't the Tonnika sisters, was it? I can't remember.) instead of Han and Chewie, but when would they have had time for that??? Also, how did Han catch up with Beckett at the end? Did Chewie and Han plan that Chewie would slow him down or take the long cut or something?
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg - The Imperial March playing in a major key to accompany the Empire's recruitment propaganda on Corellia.
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want! The world building was amazing in this movie. The best yet IMO. Also, Han's cheesy grin is SO charming. I love it. I think it's what sold me on Alden.

    Best "Star Wars" Moment
Darth Maul. This is the biggest validation of canon that the new films have given us. It’s the first time in a long while that I was totally surprised by a Star Wars film. Absolutely never saw it coming.

    Funniest Scene
    “I hate you.” “I know.”

    Most Emotional
Eh. Nothing really hits the emotion button in this one for me. Maybe Rio’s death.

    Best Han Scene
Han shooting Beckett. This felt like the truest Han moment to me.

    Coolest Lando Moment
I actually am gonna say the final Sabaac game. Even though Lando isn’t “cool” in this part, he’s just so absolutely Lando that I love it.

    Favorite new character scene
Enfys unmasking, along with her crew. Seeing the depth to that character that I never really expected.

    Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction
Their interactions at the party on Dryden’s yacht = priceless

    Biggest nitpick
These aren’t really nitpicks because I think they’re real big problems, but 1) Beckett’s betrayal, broadcasted from miles away, predictable even from the trailers, and 2) Han is too good. He should be a scoundrel. In my dream version of this movie, it’s HAN who betrays everyone else and throw’s Beckett’s warning back at him.

Favorite reference / easter egg -
The reference to Aura Sing was a great bit of connection.

Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want!
Loved the chase scene on Corellia. Pure Star Wars in my book.

    1. Best "Star Wars" Moment - The stalling sound the Falcon makes when Beckett adds a drop of coaxium to escape the maw
    2. Funniest Scene - L3 finding her purpose in life "I'm SO glad we took this mission!"
    3. Most Emotional - The soundtrack when L3 dies
    4. Best Han Scene- "You could, but what good will that do anybody?"
    5. Coolest Lando Moment- "Everything you've heard about me is true."
    6. Favorite new character scene - Beckett subtracting 5% from Lando's cut in return for freeing the Falcon from impound
    7. Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction - "Feed him to the beast!"
    8. Biggest nitpick - Darth Maul's unnecessary inclusion and Quira stopping Han from killing Dryden only to kill him herself 30 seconds later. Stoopid much?
    9. Favorite reference / easter egg - Seeing Artoo in the mines
    10. Dealer's choice - talk about any scene you want! - Deadpool II was a better movie

This is a great thread. I think I want to wait til the BluRay and few multiple viewings to really give a detailed answer for the series of questions. I will answer that the funniest scene for me is near the end when Han has the standoff (Old Western style) and makes the threat...... then Lando pulls away with the Falcon. Woody Harrelson's face is classic!

Best "Star Wars" Moment: Han approaches the Kessel Run and the Star Destroyer is waiting there for him. :

Funniest Scene : No doubt when Han bluffs and Lando pulls away in the Falcon, and he steps back knowing he screwed up, and Beckett rolls his eyes.

Most Emotional : When Qu'ra gets caught at the beginning and Han is screaming as they take her away.

Best Han Scene : When he first gets into the Falcon after Lando is injured. The real Han has arrived in the movie!

Coolest Lando Moment : When he hits on Qu'ra, as it is just like Cloud City and him hitting on Leia.

Favorite new character: I liked Beckett overall as a character. He is a good guy at heart, but the world/job has made him a cynical person and that ends up being his undoing.

Favorite Han & Chewie Interaction: When he says to Chewy at the end, "When have I ever steered you wrong?" And Chewy growls!

Biggest nitpick: Not a fan of Darth Maul part, that is the only thing I didn't like in the movie.

Favorite reference / easter egg - None. I say that as a good thing as I don't like callbacks unless they are revelant to the plot or characters.

Dealers Choice/Talk about any scene: The card game at the end was the PERFECT ending. It was clever, funny and sets up ESB when Han/Lando meet at Cloud City. I watched ESB again and Solo gives much more depth to their 'friendship' on Cloud City.

@Jedi77-83 My friend, well done! The final card scene is one of my fave SW moments ever. Prob have watched that 50 times now. Your fave Han-Chewie scene-you are referring to when Chewie gets into the copilot seat the first time, right? Big smile from me every time I watch that
