    Raimi all the way.

Spider-Man 2 is still one of my favorite super hero movies. 1 was one of the better origin movies we’ve gotten. And 3, well, 3 gets a lot of hate. Some I agree with, but sometimes it feels like the prequels. The piling on may take the hate a little farther than the movie deserves.

ASM on the other hand, outside of Garfield and Stone, there isn’t much memorable about them. They waste great villains, the changed Peter’s character too much, and the writing and actions is poorly constructed for the most part. They are fine, but no better than fine. And worst of all, they are unnecessary. Why they felt the need to re-do the origin again, I’ll never understand. In some ways they are both better than Raimi’s SM 3, but SM3 is still more memorable to me because it was ambitious and weird.

Raimi. Max Rebo said it better than I ever could.

Its still better than Amazing Spider Man 2 imo. Sandman was excellent in SM3 and I wish they had left Venom out to give him more development.

Agreed. SM3 gets a lot of hate, but it had some great aspects mixed into a very sloppy whole. It wasn’t all bad.

    Raimi.

After TASM 2, this isn't even a competition.

Well Spider-Man will be in the MCU. His first movie will be Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, unfortunately Garfield will not be returning.

I've taken the time to cast who I think should be Spider-Man and co.

    Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man

    Peter Parker/Spider-Man - Logan Lerman
    [IMG]
Everyone and their mother has cast Lerman as Parker. I agree with them.

Mary Jane Watson - Emma Watson
    [IMG]
Watson as Watson.. duh! She had great chemistry with Lerman in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Pluss here is a mockup someone did of the two as Spider-Man and Mary Jane!

    untitled.png

Eugene "Flash" Thompson - Josh Hutcherson
    [IMG]
Have Hutcherson pick on Lerman in 1 scene. Bring him back later as a war-vet to introduce Agent Venom working for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Uncle Ben Parker - Gary Oldman
    [IMG]
Oldman is a great actor. Uncle Ben would be dead by the time the movie starts so he would be in flashbacks. Ben would appear in all the film though as flashbacks for Peter as he recalls advice and life lessons. "With great power comes great responsibility."

Aunt May Parker - Helen Mirren
    [IMG]
    Yeah, she wouldn't be British.

    J. Jonah Jameson - JK Simmons
    [IMG]
Can't recast JK Simmons. He. Is. Great.

    Harry Osborn - Penn Badgley
    [IMG]
Penn is a great actor and can pull off the rich/snobby Harry Osborn.

Norman Osborn/Green Goblin - Ed Harris
    [IMG]
Same basic story as in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man except he really isn't dead, so he can come back to lead the Thunderbolts is later MCU movies.

Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus - Rainn Wilson
    [IMG]
    He has the perfect look.

    Eddie Brock/Venom - Kellan Lutz
    [IMG]
    Once again, perfect look.

    Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard - Daniel Day-Lewis
    [IMG]
No better actor that Daniel Day-Lewis.

    Cletus Kasady/Carnage - Michael C. Hall
    [IMG]
    The picture explains it all.
