The opening scrawl talks about the events at the last seconds of TFA and fills in the blanks by saying how Ben, Hux, & Phasma got off of the base safely and that they're headed to see Snoke and that Rey has taken her first steps, etc. Then, we pan down onto a planet that looks almost war-torn...Hux & Co. arrive aboard Ben's ship and Phasma stands guard outside of a throne room while Hux and Phasma go inside. Snoke berates Kylo while Kylo tries to hide his tears and tells Hux to make "preparations" for the final assault on the resistance. Hux leaves and tasks Phasma with tracking down the survivors of the new republic and makes his way towards The Finalizer where Phasma leaves in her new ship, which is a next-gen version of a royal naboo starship with cloacking capabilities.

FADES INTO:

Meanwhile...we jump right into Ach-To where Chewie is mourning Han aboard The Millenium Falcon while playing Chess with Artoo with Artoo trying to cheer him up. They get a communication from Rey as a hologram saying, "I've found him, we're coming to you" and Chewie roars in excitement. As Chewie and Artoo exit, they see Rey and a hooded figure appraoching. The hooded figure takes off his hood and reveals himself as LUKE SKYWALKER and kneels by Artoo and says, "Hello there, old friend..." and then Chewie practically crushes Luke with excitement. They have a conversation where Rey tells Chewie and Artoo that she has to stay on Ach-To with Luke because she feels "a feeling I haven't felt since...---" but assures them that they will meet again soon because she "feels it." As Luke and Rey walk up the steps, she thinks back to that mysterious voice she heard at Maz Kanata's bar, "Rey you've taken your first steps..."

CUTS TO:

FINN jolts up from his coma. He has no idea where he is and screams for Rey. The droid tells Finn that he's been in a coma for a week and it's a miracle he is alive but he has lost all feeling in his legs. Finn doesn't know what to do and hasn't felt this alone since before he met Rey. He still won't let this get to him as he will do anything to get back to Rey. He gets on a hover chair (similar to Clieg Lars in AOTC) and goes to the command center where he is greeted by POE who promises that he will do everything in his power to help his friend to get back into battle. They have a conversation with Leia to divert some funds to help Finn regain his movement but she says that the war effort is more important and Finn can help in the command center with strategy. Finn, being great with a pistol and wanting to be in the field against the first order, starts feeling something dark within him when he realizes that the resistance is just the same side of the coin as the first order is. Nonetheless, he asks Poe to teach him how to fly and Poe tells him, "...as long as you can keep up!" Poe receives a new mission to meet someone who has vital information about the first order at a gambling planet with some of the seediest people in the galaxy (think Vegas but it's the Croatia planet) and has Finn come along. Finn says he isn't sure what he can do now that he can't walk but Poe says that he will always have Finn's back, and, besides, he owes Finn. He helps Finn into the cockpit and jumps in after and they take off...

FADE TO:

Dubrovnik (I'm calling it this until there's more official information on it): We see a planet that looks like Earth with no pollution mixed with Naboo and Alderran, except has a very steampunk vibe to it. KMT is trapped just like how Dooku trapped Obi-Wan in AOTC. We see a shadowy figure standing in front of her, staring, as she starts feeling very nervous and her heart is practically beating out of her chest. BDT (again I'm calling him and KMT by their names until we know more from them) talks very calmly...he asks her very nicely (imagine Anakin questioning Zam Wessel in AOTC) where the "information" is and that he knows she's a traitor for the first order and working for the resistance. KMT insists she doesn't know what he's talking about. BDT says that he honestly doesn't care at all who she's working for because he's going to be paid whether she's dead or alive. KMT says that the resistance would pay more for her. BDT starts monologuing about how all he cares about his money and he hates humans. He says that there is no more republic for "the princess" to fight for and she doesn't have any money, anyways because "he has sources." KMT still won't give it up but then her wrist's communicator beeps and she gets excited. BDT sees her face and tells her, "that won't help you here." KMT knows that Poe is going to rescue her because Poe is the one trying to get in touch with her.

Meanwhile, Poe and Finn approach Dubrovnik and get clearance to land as "gamblers" playing in a special tournament (think Casino Royale) that's being broadcast on holodecks through the new republic. Poe and Finn hatch a plan where Finn sits at the gambling table as a distraction while he goes and breaks out KMT not knowing AT ALL that BDT has her as his captive. Finn feels annoyed, while feeling that darkness swelling just a little bit more within him, but he agrees. He gets onto his hoverchair with a blaster hidden inside while Poe leaves with some explosives to save KMT. Finn pretends to part ways with Poe but uses his GPS to take another route around to where KMT's location is.

FADE TO:

We're at Snoke's lair. Snoke is sitting high on his throne watching Kylo train with The KOR. They're all training at the same time but Kylo is the only one who can access the force and has the greatest power, possibly even stronger than Snoke. They are training with droids who can transfer the likeness of various beings across the galaxy onto themselves. Kylo's last trial is to face his old master...Snoke desperately wants Kylo to fail because he has lost faith in him. Kylo surprises Snoke by slicing him cleanly in half. Snoke reveals to Kylo that they know where the resistance base is. One thing of note is that Snoke has never told Kylo that his mother, Leia, is at the base as its head. He instructs Kylo to go to this base and that Phasma will bring reinforces with her to help him.

FADE TO:

We pan across a MASSIVE Mon Calamari spaceship and notice that The Millenium Falcon is docked there. We see General LD, who's even more tactical and "all about the end game" than Leia viewing some maps and intercepted communications. Leia and Threepio are standing beside her in hologram form debating how to defeat the FO. LD says that she has a mole in the first order down on Dubrovnik and Poe has gone to intercept her with plans to destroy the resistance. Leia says that the resistance is so secret that no one could possibly know where the base is. LD says that she must do what she must in order to protect the resistance "For the greater good" i.e. blow up Leia and everyone if it comes down to that; Leia hangs up on her.

FADE TO:

Ach-To: Rey is doing some familiar force exercises with Luke practicing with her. She keeps losing her concentration because she can't stop talking about how she was able to beat Kylo Ren out of the blue. She sounds like she's just won a gold olympic medal. Luke cuts her off and gets angry at Ben being called "Kylo" and tells her that she hasn't mastered her powers and her saber technique and she never will if she doesn't practice. Suddenly, Yoda appears and reminds Luke that he was once just as arrogant just like his father. Luke agrees and goes a little easy on Rey and they talk about the Jedi and the sith and what led to their downfalls and such. Rey stops talking mid sentence and Luke feels it, too. They look around and see nothing but then THE KOR suddenly descend from the clouds like a SWAT team with Kylo's ship landing behind them. Kylo jumps from the ship as it lands and immediately force pushes Rey off the cliff and makes his way towards his old master. The KOR don't believe in pistols or anything so they have things like staffs and axes. Kylo ignites his lightsaber and Luke promptly cuts it in half with his green saber without a pause. Kylo, too, is force pushed off the cliff while the KOR aren't sure what to do at that point after seeing the most powerful person be "killed". Luke goes to look off the cliff and sees Rey struggling to climb back up...

Okay, then I present here a short abstract of my opening (fanfic-) script. It's nothing special though.
I'm not a native english speaker so you will probably find some mistakes.

PAN across the large star field to a BRIGHT and RED MOON. We see a SMALL STARSHIP passing the lonely moon. The ship is followed by a BIGGER one, A VAST STAR DESTROYER -- THE FINALIZER.

INT. FINALIZER - KYLO REN´S CHAMBER

KYLO REN is sitting on his chair, UNMASKED. He has just received medical treatment for his wounded face. Kylo Ren seems SAD and BROKEN, he is looking down at something. -- VADER‘S BURNED MASK.
A holographic projector turns on, Kylo Ren approaches to the BLUE image of his master, SUPREME LEADER SNOKE.

KYLO REN
Supreme Leader.​

SNOKE
Kylo Ren, I assume you failed to retrieve the girl.

Kylo Ren still doesn't understand, how this scavenger could beat him. Before Kylo Ren could talk, Snoke resumes his speech:

SNOKE (CONT'D)
No matter. But you have to come to me immediately. To finish your training.

KYLO REN
Yes my master. I've waited for this day a long time.

SNOKE
Soon the galaxy will be ours. We have only one more problem to deal with. The girl. She is strong in the force.

KYLO REN
She could become an ally.​

SNOKE
Yes, but she found your old master. Skywalker.​

Kylo Ren slightly FLINCHES at this name. He hasn't seen his old master, his uncle for years now.

SNOKE (CONT'D)
Sidious failed to seduce Skywalker to the dark side. It was is ultimate downfall, causing the apprentice to kill him and to protect the son.​

KYLO REN
But I will not fail, Supreme Leader.

SNOKE
Good. Together we will strike fear into the galaxy. My plan is in place and is progressing. Do as I say and we will be victorious.​

KYLO REN
I understand.​

The hologram dissapears and just emptiness is left. Kylo Ren raises and walks out of his room, processing what Snoke has told him. -- What is this PLAN Snoke speaks of?

Then CUT TO: Ach-To, where TFA ended....

 

I'm not in a position to really write out detailed scene-by-scene the entire film, but I can give a good idea of my own plot AKA "what I'd like to see". Mostly based on leaked rumors.

Opening Crawl - explains the state of the galaxy, similar to what was presented in Bloodline - that First Order had been growing out of the remnants of the Empire slowly, but now has launched a major offensive by destroying the Republic government leadership and home world on Hosnian Prime. There are small remnants of the Republic left, who are joining the Resistance to gather for a major clash.

Meanwhile, Ben Solo is headed to the lair of Supreme Leader Snoke with General Hux and Captain Phasma, to finish his training in the dark side after his defeat at the hands of Rey, who is beginning a journey of training of her own...

Beginning of the film would be Luke/Rey, picking up from the end of the last film. I actually don't see it starting literally with the lightsaber hand-off but with Rey and Luke talking in his hut. Right into the history of what we've missed - the rise of Snoke, the students lost, Ben/Kylo, and then also Rey explaining her journey in TFA and what she's had happened to her so far - she gives us more details here: she remembers her mother as kind, strong, but sad and it's mostly just images and feelings, nothing for her father, she never knew him, asking questions of what she is and what will happen. Luke ends by saying he will train her/show her. (no big reveals here)

Next would be Poe/Leia/Laura Dern. Not sure what exactly, but just commiserating plans about how to fight the FO, talking about planets that might be coming into the Resistance and how to coordinate them. They are contacted by Benicio Del Torro. He is leading a faction of Empire-friendly planets who have not yet militarized to the FO. He wants to meet. Says they were not in support of destroying Hosnian Prime and wants to find a middle ground. Arrangements are made for Poe, Finn, Leia, and Laura Dern to go with a few others.

Cut to Kylo and Snoke. A meditative/trance state. The Force ghost of Anakin/Vader is involved, but this is manipulated by Snoke. A new tactic, to sympathize that sometimes there is regret/remorse but that things need to be done. Images of young Ben being called by the Dark, lonely, and destroying objects in a field are shown. Vader/Anakin encourages him here. To pump Kylo back up that he can be the uber-sith that Anakin should've been. He is empowered and the knights of Ren are summoned. A darkside training sequence is shown. There is another meditation/trance and Snoke is able to use the visions of the Island that Kylo got from Rey to reveal the location, while in the trance state. Killing Luke is the next step in his journey, and must be done. Rey is to be spared, as there is more to her and she will either become one of them or destroyed if she refuses.

Back to the Island. Rey and Luke training sequences. Force abilities, sensing the Force/meditation, lightsaber stuff. The sequence appears to show several weeks, as Kylo's was. They are happening at the same time. It drops out of the sequence to a training time ending, similar to ESB with the X-wing lift.

They are at peace and calm.

Rey meditates and gets flashes of a woman, but not her face. Her voice. There is a hurried conversation, and the father breaks into the home, rushing the mother. He is seen but the voice distorted. The mother says "what is it? what's happened?". Cut to Luke's voice - "evil has arrived"...her sight is still in the vision, but it's still a little tease whether he actually was or wasn't in that vision - because Rey opens her eyes and sees him coming over a hill...and then she senses just that, evil has arrived, and jumps up "Master!". Luke calmly responds, "I know. Are you ready?" She steels herself, "Yes Master Skywalker."

Epic battle scene as night falls, the Knights of Ren approach, the rain falls.

Luke does kill all the KOR with force pushes, rock throws,...a CHOKE!...and his green saber ignited. He turns to find Rey/Kylo.

This time, the battle with Kylo/Rey is very different - it's intense and more skilled, both are better. But Kylo is clearly winning. Rey is not despaired or worried...as she loses ground or her attacks don't work, she gets angry. Frustrated. Yelling.

Kylo finally lifts her up, slams her over the edge of the cliff, and swipes at her like Maul in EP 1...toying with her.

Luke approaches and says "Ben." through the Force. Loud but not yelling. In his mind. He freezes for a moment. Luke then uses a push that sends him flying.

Kylo recovers, and considers whether or not to charge him...but instead grabs the Skywalker saber with the Force. He then flees.

They talk about the anger she felt, and how she must overcome it. Rey asks why Kylo left and Luke says that there is still hope.

Cut to the scene with Leia, Poe, and the Benicio Del Torro character. Kelly Tran is part of his inner team. There is some political talk, and more background given to us of the history after ROTJ. An agreement is reached, that will leave Benecio Del Torro and his planets as independent but they will support the Resistance until the FO is crippled or destroyed. It is hinted that he has some familiarity with Snoke and that they are at odds over his use of the Force. The biggest revelation - BDT has a small fleet (4 or 5) older star destroyers in a secret hangar underneath the Drubnik planet. This is going to be a serious upgrade to the Resistance, as the main republic fleet was destroyed at Hosnian Prime.

Finn is shown to be attacted to Kelly Tran, there is some banter there. Poe is not trusting of the new realtionship. Laura Dern is the most militant and is wanting to push it even farther, to destroy the FO totally.

Leia is still hopeful for Kylo, and that Rey/Luke will help to rescue him and they will all defeat Snoke.

Getting ready to leave Drubnik, there is an assasination attempt on Leia. She is injured and rushed away. In a coma. The rest of the heroes escape and Kelly Tran leaves with them. She wants to join the cause and is interested in the Force and the light side.

Cut to Luke and Rey, who are in an intense training sequence with the Force Tree, where she is being tempted to use anger to fight back enemies. She resists well, until there is a scene of Kylo taking his mask off, saying that her family abandoned her and that they were afraid of her darkness. She is a monster.

Her anger boils over and the hut explodes. Kylo disappears, and the hut does as well. She is at the Tree with Luke. He is kind, and says he understands more than she knows. At this moment, as she relaxes and opens up to him, he senses Leia's injury.

He says she's not quite ready, but they have to go. He explains that he did the same thing at her age but one big difference - he is coming with her.

Cut to Kylo, with the Vader helmet and the lightsaber in his chamber. He has a darkside Force vision when he touches it, showing Vader, the conception of Anakin, the death of Shmi, the younglings, Anakin vs Obi, the lava, the suit, scenes from Rouge one of slaughter, the cutting of Luke's hand and then Luke older communing with Yoda/Obi-wan who are warning Luke about Ben Solo - his anger and his future, being called by the Darkside. That there is a dark leader emerging from deep in the Force itself who will try to take Ben and any other family. They vanish, and Luke says - "evil has arrived" and turns toward the dwelling seen in Rey's vision. This is then morphed to the Anakin/Vader Force ghost again, who tells Kylo that he can rule the galaxy, he can be strong in the Force but that he needs to destroy Snoke. He also is warned not to underestimate the abilities of Luke Skywalker or of Rey...Kylo asks the Anakin/Vader ghost, "Tell me - who is she, really?" but the scene cuts away.

Laura Dern is set to convene all resistance ships with all BDT ships to attack Snoke and the FO. Kelly Tran says they will give them the location of Snoke's base, as BDT has known it. Poe wants a contingency plan if they fail, and an idea of who would run the Republic government if they succeed. Laura Dern does not care, it's revealed that she was a prison worker slave, taken from the First Order military academy when her parents defected to the Republic. She was punished because of it. Her parents were killed on Hosnian Prime.

Luke and Rey confer with the Resistance. Everybody is in awe at Skywalker. Finn in particular. Laura Dern acknowledges him as an equal but that it's her show. There is a nice reunion with Rey/Finn. Kelly Tran is comically put out by this. However, in a funny bit Rey is inspired by Poe who pledges to die for Luke in the moment he meets them, just as he has for General Organna.

There is a scene with Luke and Leia where Luke is laying hands on her head and they communicate in the Force. She says that it's a delicate balance between light and dark and while what Ben did was evil, there is still hope and good for him. Luke communicates to her that he will do all he can, even if he has to give his life.

While Luke is with her, Kylo reaches out directly to Rey in the Force. He tells her to come to him. That they can find an end to this. He impresses upon her that he knows the secret of who she is and that Skywalker is lying to her and holding her back. She records a hologram with R2 and jumps on a ship to leave.

When Rey jumps out of hyperspace she lands on...BDT's planet! She doesn't know it, but we do. It's a militarized type of planet, but she is on the outskirts. Kylo meets her alone. She ignites her staff...it's a double-bladed lightsaber. He ignites his. It's been repaired and is a fixed blade now.

Cut to Luke, who is in communication with Leia still...in the Force she says, "Luke....why didn't you tell me?" but then it's interrupted by R2's beeping. The hologram plays and Rey tells them she's gone to confront Kylo and learn the truth. Her ship's tracking beacon is turned on, they are welcomed to come find her if they wish but she will not be stopped.

Luke pulls up the coordinates and reads them off - Laura Dern says it's BDT's planet and Poe says he has a bad feeling about this. They all race off. Luke is in an X-wing.

Back to the fight, they are at a stale mate after Rey refuses to use the Darkside but so does Kylo. It's very much like Anakin/Obi from ROTS.

Finally Kylo asks her if she is ready to confront her fears and the truth - that her father abondoned her because of Snoke. He felt the evil rising and was told by the other Jedi (Yoda/Obi ghosts) that his was the ancient evil that created Anakin - the darkside of the Force itself manifested in a sith lord - had come back (note: the name Plaguies is not actually used here, just inferred) in the person of Snoke...and because of the Darkness already growing in Ben, her and her mother were sent away.

Flashes of the visions are shown. Luke turning from the ghosts to his dwelling and coming inside to his wife. Lor San Tekka and other church of the Force believers hid them while the First Order was mobilized. The ship taking off and leaving Rey on Jakku. It being destroyed later in space. Luke giving LST a map of the Jedi planet. Rey alone on Jakku. Luke alone on Ach-to. Kylo killing the students.

The vision breaks and Rey drops to her knees in tears. Kylo turns his sword off. He kneels next to her and holds her. They are bonded. He tells her that he killed the other students because Skywalker was always trying to change people's fates - Vaders, his, hers...that they (the Jedi) didn't trust the Force which is both light and dark, and were always trying to have their own way. He hated it. He hated killing his father. But he needed to be free from Light. And the Dark. To follow the Force as it flows...and asks if she'll help him kill Snoke. His base has been on this planet the whole time!

Cut to the other ships coming out of hyperspace...Laura Dern contacts BDT and demands an explanation. Why is Kylo Ren on her planet? He reveals that while he wants Snoke gone, he wants the Resistance gone first. The 5 older model star destroyers jump out of hyperspace and the battle is on.

In this moment, Luke approaches Rey and Kylo. He has landed quietly. He says that he's sorry, that he loves them both, and that he has always just tried to follow his heart.

They regard him but say nothing and begin to leave together. Kylo tells Luke that Snoke is there and will deal with him. He's taking Rey to learn the fullness of the Force and that she is free of his lies/meddling.

Luke says he cannot allow that and ignites his lightsaber.

Kylo ignites his.

Rey ignites her double bladed staff...and then turns...with him towards LUKE!

The shock and pain is real and he struggles to maintain composure while they fight him. He cries out "I have always loved you!" And Rey yells back, in full darkside mode "then why did you leave me?" and cuts him. In his last move, Rey loses her arm as Luke slices it off. Kylo then stabs him in the heart but Luke's mechanical hand absorbs some of the blow. He falls and is force pushed away in a tumble on the ground by Kylo.

Kylo takes Rey in his arms and leaves.

The battle goes terribly and most of the capital ships are destroyed. Chewbacca crashes the Falcon into the Super Star Destroyer that BDT was on, dying heroically. Poe, Kelly Tran, and a few other Resistance pilots escape. Laura Dern's ship is destroyed but Finn manages to grab a shuttle and heads down to the planet. He gets Luke to safety and sees Kylo with Rey. There is a sad moment where he looks at her, pleading, and after a long stare, she turns from him and hobbles off with Kylo.

The film ends with Poe, Kelly Tran, Finn, Luke and the droids at the medical center with Leia. He is laid down to be worked on, as she recovers. There is immense pain and sadness as she says - "The resistance has fallen."

Final sequence of the film is always musical, but this one will be dark and foreboding, as Kylo and Rey make their way into Snoke's base. They come into his throne room, and he rises in the flesh to stand before them. They bow down low as the music swells to full-fledged Darth Vader's theme.

End.

CONTINUING:

Within the same scene, Luke and Rey steal Kylo's ship and they contact The Resistance Base to make sure they aren't shot down...as the ship takes off, Kylo manages to get back onto the cliff and tries to use the force to stop his ship. in the process, Rey uses her recklessness and tries to jump to hyperspace, which is something Han Solo taught her. In the process, the hyperdrive is ripped out of the ship but the two heroes still get away. In anger, Kylo rips off his mask and completely OBLITERATES the rest of The KOR and is baffled at what to do now since he has no comms or any way to get off of the planet.

FADE TO:

We fade from Kylo's meditative trance into Leia's meditative trance with their faces matching. Leia senses her son and almost smiles until she can feel his corruption and wakes up. She needs to alert the resistance. As she's walking into the room, Lt. Connix tells Leia of an approaching ship that matching Kylo's ship but Leia orders it to be allowed to land because she senses Luke. They land and Luke and Leia approach each other and have a staredown---a sort of force bond/twin connection...Leia then bear hugs Luke with Luke feeling awkward and off-guard, not seeing her or any civilization for years. Leia warns Luke to be careful with Rey and she has a mission for them; Poe's transmission has cut and she needs the two to investigate as she can't lose MKT at all costs. They agree and takes on the Rebel sign of "Red five" and Rey is "Red six". They go into hyperspace to Dubrovnik

CUT TO:

Pan of THE FINALIZER: Hux gets an incoming transmission from Phasma. She believes that something has happened to Kylo and if his ship is seen, to shoot it out of the sky. Suddenly, SNOKE, who is looking in better spirits, comes into the convesation on his own transmission and says that they should forget about Kylo as he actually OVERESTIMATED The Skywalkers and reveals that everyone is walking into a trap.

Snoke describes his plan the entire time as a voiceover as we are seeing it unfold:

Poe keeps trying to reach Finn on his comms but they've been jammed. Finn has a blaster that he's ready to use as he's found his way in through the backdoor. BDT reveals himself to KMT and his true self is more terrifying than even Snoke or the emperor could ever be. Snoke's voiceover stops and BDT says, "it's too late for any of us." the door explodes and Poe falls in but is shot by BDT without even having to look at Poe...he falls down in slow motion while debris is flying around him, but in that second, KMT's restraints are destroyed and she runs to the back where Finn tells her where their ship is. Finn arrives and sees Poe lying on the ground, "dead," and goes berserk even though he can't walk. He has his high-power rifle and keeps shooting at BDT who seems to be deflecting every single shot. Finn's anger keeps swelling with the darkness inside of him. He throws himself at BDT but then BDT puts him into a chokehold saying that he can help Finn. Finn keeps struggling but Finn is seduced to the dark side after being convinced, at least temporarily, that BDT can fix his physical ailment and can show him the true power of the force. After realizing that the resistance can be just as cold as the first agrees to go with BDT but his mind isn't made up and he just wants to simply get better and powerful enough to save Rey.

FADE TO:

Other side of the planet --- Rey and Luke have landed on the other side of the planet. They make a plan to seperate with Rey rescuing Poe and Luke finding an old ally. Rey arrives at BDT's lair and tries to carry Poe but she can't/ Poe keeps muttering about Finn falling to the dark side and KMT's escape. Rey is able to eventually have Poe stand up and they look in each other's eyes as if there is some sort of a romantic spark. However, they don't kiss. Rey is able to drag Poe to her ship and tells him to, "Stay put" and an injured Poe is ready for a fire fight if need-be.

CUT TO:

Finn is strapped to an operating table in a not-so-sterile room. BDT promises Finn that he will get his heart's desires but can't put Finn to sleep. As Finn is screaming, the operation is done and it's a success. Finn is not only able to walk, but has superior strength and a basic force ability as in he can sense others and such. As they're leaving, the door opens, and Luke stands with his hood. He calmly takes it off and ignites his green saber (imagine Darth Mau;;'s entrance to the fight on Naboo). Luke senses Finn and tells him that he doesn't need to die and to get to Rey. Finn feels that he owes BDT and stands to fight; Finn is taken out almost instantly. BDT pulls out a rusty lightsaber and reveals himself to be Quinlan Vos WHO WORKS FOR NO ONE and who was briefly a mentor for Luke during the early days of his Jedi Order.

After the event of the destruction of Hosnian Prime & the Starkiller base, General Hux brings a wounded Kylo Ren to Snoke's fortress. After disposing of Hux, Snoke tells Kylo Ren that he will complete his training and resurrect the Knights of Ren to assist him in his next mission: to find and destroy Luke Skywalker and to bring Rey to him.

On Arch-To, Rey finally meets with Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. He tells her about his whereabouts for the last 10 years, what he had found on Arch-To and vague explanations on why he vanished, Ben and the academy, etc. He agrees on starting her training and tell her the bad news that Snoke will be after her and that he will be using Ben and the Knights of Ren to achieve this goal. In the meantime, feeling that Leia might be exposed and in danger, he sends Chewbacca and R2-D2 to find and bring her back to Arch-To.

Poe, Maz and BB-8 are sent by Leia in an undercover mission to find out the new location of the First Order Base.

The Republic & the resistance organize a "summit" on what to do next, after the First Order's aggression. A faction wants to try a diplomatic solution to avoid another full scale galactic war, led by a strong and charismatic politician. The other faction, led by Leia, wants the Republic to join forces with the remnants of the Resistance to find and destroy Snoke...to take advantage of the Starkiller base destruction to attack a weakened First Order. The Republic new government and the resistance leaders including Leia, Finn, C3PO are then sent along a "protector" that will lead them to a safe base for their protection until they come to a consensus.

Chewbacca, R2D2 and the Falcon are intercepted by The First Order. Chewbacca & R2 are captured and Kylo Ren manages to discover the location of Luke Skywalker. Luke feels it and tell Rey they must prepare for battle.

R2D2 manages to escape and to contact BB-8.

Poe, Maz and BB-8, in the meantime, find out that what is left of the First Order is far more dangerous that what Leia originally anticipated. They also figure out that the Resistance & Republic leaders are actually falling into a trap and can't contact them. When they reach R2, they split. Poe & BB-8 will go back to the Resistance to tell them about what they found and to organize a rescue mission. Maz & R2 will try to reach Luke & Rey BEFORE Kylo finds them.

The Resistance and Republic leaders fall into the trap Snoke set to them. Many are murdered, some are kept captives. Leia is severely injured and falls into a coma. Finn & one of the Republic dignitary manage to escape through subterfuge. They hide on the planet and plan on trying to contact Poe Dameron & Maz.

The Falcon comes back to Arch-To and crashes on its shores. Luke & Rey see Kylo and the Knights of Ren coming out of the ship. They fight. Luke manages to dispose of all the Knights of Ren but Kylo manages to disarm Rey that is barely saved by Luke. More Knights of Ren arrive on a ship. Luke is about to face Kylo and the latter knows he is no match for the Jedi Master. Kylo tells Luke that he has his mother captive along with the Republic and Resistance leader and that they have to turn themselves in or they will all be killed before the end of the day.

Kylo leaves Arch-To with Luke & Rey behind.

Finn manages to contact BB-8 and informs him they fell into a trap. Poe is then reaching for the secret Resistance Base to organize the rescue mission.

Maz & R2 reach for Luke & Rey, it is decided they will go to the planet where Leia is captive.

Finn & the dignitary manage to sneak into the First Order ranks while Chewbacca is brought with the prisoners.

R2 & Maz contact Poe & BB-8. They, along with Luke, Rey & Finn make a plan with the Resistance fighters.

Luke and Rey land on the planet. Finn makes a diversion that gets Captain Phasma on his tail. The dignitary is killed and Finn faces Phasma.
Phasma manages to capture Finn.
Hell breaks loose on the ground with Luke and Rey facing the "protector" with his troops. Poe Dameron and the Resistance fighter deliver an air and ground battle. Kylo Ren & The Knights of Ren come into the battle to face the Jedi once again. Leia comes out of her coma and uses the Force to save herself and some of the prisoners.

The prisoners are rescued and Rey and Luke are left behind stranded on the planet after crashing a speeder. Kylo Ren & the Knights along with troops from The Force Order are on their tails. The Jedi hide in the city until it is stormed by the troops. Luke looses sight of Rey that finds herself all alone with Kylo Ren. He tells her he knows about her parentage, that she is the creation of Snoke and was taken from him when she was young by Luke Skywalker & The Church of the Force and it was them that left her stranded on Jakku so she doesn't become a threat for them. One of the Church member was teaming with Unkar Plutt to make sure she never leaves the planet. It is why Luke's piece of the map was in a Church member possession on Jakku.

When Luke sees Rey again, she is leaving with Kylo & The Knights of Ren to meet with Snoke.

 

So my predictions for this movie:

What we will learn:

- Luke is on Arch-To because it is home of the first Jedi Temple and of some of the artefacts from the origins of the Jedi Order. The place has no "mystical power" or anything, Luke used it as his hideout after the Academy massacre. He gave its location to members of the Church of the Force.

- The Church of the Force served around the galaxy to discover children with Force abilities. They were all murdered by The Knights of Ren. Lor San Tekka was their last survivor and very close to Luke Skywalker.

- Supposingly, Luke "kidnapped" Rey from Snoke and it is him that sent her to Jakku, under the surveillance of Lor San Tekka & Unkar Plutt . Rey is no "natural" Jedi but a creation from Snoke "a la Anakin Skywalker".

- The Republic wants to avoid a full scale Galactic War at all costs. That is why Leia created the Resistance Movement. Leia senses something is wrong when she leaves with the group for protection, that is why she puts Poe on Stand By.

- Leia demonstrates a Force Power of great magnitude to save most of the prisoners, she "shields" them.

- Rey is persuaded Luke has used and betrayed her at the end, she goes willingly with Kylo.

- Laura Dern plays the interim Republic Leader, Benicio Del Toro plays the "protector" that is in fact, an agent of Snoke. He and Phasma are in charge of the prisoner camp.

- The "Casino" is in the city where Luke & Rey hides from the convergent Knights of Ren & First Order troops at the end of the movie.

 

I loved yours. It gave me goosebumps at the end. Only question, are Rey and Kylo actually trying to kill Snoke, or did he only say that to get her to join them? It wasn't entirely clear to me, but it's probably my fault for misreading something

 

Maybe it could be something like Kylo is actually betraying BOTH Rey and Snoke and after he is defeated, Kylo takes the throne and "becomes" Snoke .

 

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!

It's not a bad story in it's own right, but it can't end like that. You can't have Luke dead and Rey gone with Kylo - that leaves no force users in the light side. Also don't think Rey is Luke's daughter (and I did for a long time after TFA). Also, the relationship between Luke and Rey needs to build for longer than one movie before he dies. And I'm actually convinced he's going to come out of the trilogy alive. I think the end of Episode 9 will see the Republic Consolidated but smaller, The FO taking some of the galaxy and declaring the new Empire and there's a cold war. Snoke is dead and Ben/Kylo is the ruler and Luke and Rey go off to start the new Jedi Order or whatever they call their force organisation in earnest.

 

Luke isn't dead...read it again, lol.

He will be around for 9.

 

Okay I'm going to post the first part of what I think should happen in episode VIII. I would love feedback on this before I write any more.

Opening Crawl that summarizes the events of TFA as well as saying that Kylo was retrieved after his defeat and was being taken to Snoke to further his training just like Rey is going to Luke to be trained.

Pan down to Finalizer flying through space as a newly designed Super Star Destroyer deactivates its cloaking device as the shuttle flies closer revealing the immense size of the vessel that is much larger than Kylo's ship.

Cut to Kylo Ren sitting in his personal chamber with the Vader helmet. In direct contrast with his first appearance at the beginning of The Force Awakens he looks defeated and full of hatred and fear because of his defeat at the hands of Rey. A stormtrooper opens the door and tells him that they had arrived. Kylo gets out of his chair and as he is walking out the door slams the trooper against the wall with the force to move him out of his way. Hux and Kylo then are both escorted by a few storm troopers including Phasma to a large door which the two enter as the troopers stand guard outside the door.

Inside is a room much like the room in Starkiller Base with the Snoke Hologram. We see the physical body of the Supreme Leader for the first time sitting on his throne which is very similar to the Ralph Mcquarrie concept art of the Emperor's throne. Kylo and Hux kneel before him.

Hux addresses him first and is by berated by Snoke for his failure. Hux makes excuses and is interrupted by Snoke rising out of his chair revealing that his body is very frail and he can barely stand up. Snoke says, "did I not entrust you with the most powerful weapon in the galaxy?"

"Yes Supreme Leader." He says full of fear.
"And did it not get destroyed under your watch?"
"Yes. Supreme L...." Snoke waves his hand and Hux's lifeless body collapses.

Kylo remains looking at the floor as he is terrified of what might happen because of his failure. "Kylo Ren," Kylo looks up at his master with a terrible look of fear over his scarred face, "it is time to complete your training."

Cut to Rey holding the light saber out to Luke.

Luke approaches her and takes the saber and looks at it like a long lost friend. He ignited it just like he did for the first time in A New Hope. As he does this Rey awkwardly tells him her name and that the Resistance needs his help. And begins to tell him about the First Order and how they destroyed the Republic. "I felt it," says Luke pained as he recalls the the tremor in the Force caused by Starkiller Base.

Somewhat taken aback by the standoffish attitude of the legendary Jedi, Rey says, "You have to come with me back to the Resistance. We need you to stop them from taking the entire galaxy."

Luke deactivates the light saber. "That is why I am here. That is why the force guided you here."

"But without you the Resistance does not stand a chance. I have to get you back as soon as possible!"

"Patience. You have much to learn." He hands her the saber and she looks at it and then back to him. With both confusion and wonder.

Cut to the Resistance base on D'Qar.

Finn is still in his coma. BB-8 is by his side bothering the medic constantly asking her if Finn is going to wake up yet. Resistance troops are bustling around around the medical room. We follow Poe into the briefing room. Where Leia is addressing the heads of the resistance including Laura Dern's character. Poe's fashionably late arrival interrupts the meeting and he asks what the plan is. Leia repeats what she had been saying to the group that there was to be a meeting on the the Dubrovnik planet with the powers in the galaxy about what the future of the Republic will be now that the senate has been destroyed. She says that they will crash the meeting and tell them about the horrors of the first order and plead for help from the rest of the galaxy. Poe says, " We need all the help we can get. When do we leave?"

Before Leia answers. BB8 rolls into the room very excitedly and bumps into Poe. BB-8 alerts him that Finn is awake and Poe takes off the the medical room. "Buddy! You're awake!" Poe exclaims to the barely conscious Finn and hugs him. Finn yells in pain as Poe touches his wounded back. Finn asks him what happened and Poe tells him that they destroyed Starkiller base and Rey went to find Luke. He then tells him go get ready to go to Dubrovnik to get help to finally wipe out the first order.

Cut to Rey and Luke on Ach-To

Rey is following Luke around the island to the ruins of a large circular room. Luke walks to the center and is seated in a meditation position. He gestures Rey to him with his robotic hand. She walks and asks him what this place is. He tells her it was the first Jedi Temple. She is amazed and looks around as she sits across from him. "How will it help us to defeat the First Order?" Luke tells her that the dark side is their enemy no matter what form it takes. The only way to hold off the dark side is to learn from the first Jedi because they had the secret to how to subdue an ancient evil. The secret was lost millennia ago and he has spent most of his life trying to find it to stop the threat from coming back to power. The empire was built trying to replicate the dark power of this entity. Rey asks what this power is.

"Eternal life. And with it the ability to crush any enemy." He tells her the story of how the sith were formed to get this power and before them there was one being from outside the galaxy who could take the body of anyone who was strong enough in the dark side and continue life in their body. The Jedi first came together to stop this evil, but it was so long ago the stories were mostly forgotten and anything remembered were looked at as just stories. The emperor had heard these stories and spent his life trying to achieve this power. That is why he wanted Anakin so badly. He believed that if he could find out how to undue what the first of the Jedi had done and awaken the evil he would learn to take over Anakin's body and truly have unlimited power because he was born from the force. In his hubris he had unknowingly woken up the ancient evil who had been sent into a hibernation locked inside of a planet. Palpatine never learned that he had succeeded because of Anakin turning back to the light and killing him, but the darkness was brought back although it was very weak and stuck inside the ancient body that had been scarred by the ancient Jedi. It is then revealed that it is Snoke and that he has been waiting to corrupt a suitable host. He set his sights on Ben Solo before he was even born knowing he could be as strong as Anakin was and would allow him to dominate the galaxy once he was corrupted by the dark side enough to take over his body. Luke has been searching for a way to destroy Snoke all along since Snoke had reached out to him first, but he never knew he had been speaking to Kylo through the force for his entire life.

Rey pledges to help to defeat Snoke and will do whatever Luke asks of her to learn the secret. They then tap into the force and and meditate as the rubble of the temple rises and floats around them.
