No no, this isn't a thread for stalkers. Well kinda. But I don't mean that kind of follow. Or social-media-follow.

Who are your favorite actors in the Star Wars saga? Which ones make you say "Oh, I'm going to see that movie just because ______ is in it." Or the other way around, if an actor you love was cast in SW, did you automatically love their character? If you are not a fan of a certain SW character, are you inclined to ignore their other creative works? Lets hear how much Star Wars affects your other film experiences and air it all out below!

Use the poll above, and leave a comment if you'd like. Unfortunately there are way too many great actors than the poll allows choices, so I've tried to stick to the main characters of the episodic saga.

This thread is also open to discussion of your favorite actors upcoming and current projects outside of the SW universe.

I follow them all to an extent but Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver are the main ones. Inside Llewyn Davis is my favorite film of all-time and Marriage Story was not only my favorite film of last year, but one of my favorite of the decade. I will never miss anything that they're in. I'll also be supporting John Boyega in whatever he decides to do in the future.

Oh and of course Samuel L. Jackson.

Shoutout to Ewan and Natalie too. I'd be lying if I said I've seen most of their filmographies but Black Swan and Trainspotting (including the sequel) are films that I hold in very high regard.

Growing up mine was Harrison Ford by a long shot. I guess that was an easy, default choice though, given that Fisher and Hamill's careers took a different turn after SW. But in the 90s man, anything Ford was in was a must see for me.

I have not seen this one but I am adding it to my list, it sounds great! Ex-Machina really solidified me on Oscar. I liked him in TFA, but after seeing him in Ex-Mach I was sold.

I can agree with you here too. I haven't seen them all, but Garden State was a really fun experience, IMHO primarily because of Portman. I loved her with Thor in that other nerdiverse too. :D

Driver is currently by and far my #1. I don't recall one film he's been involved in that I haven't enjoyed. May not have seen them all, but I've loved it all so far. From his part in HBO's Girls, to the ST, Logan Lucky, BlacKkKlansman, The Report, Marriage Story..... all so good. He has the best acting chops of the ST imho and he has an uncanny ability for picking the right type of films. Or he's being picked by all the right people, either way. If Driver is in something, it's almost a done deal that I'm going to see it.

Now I'm much more interested in what Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega are doing, but I didn't see to many movies with these actors yet.

In the past I was always interested in what Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher were doing but I don't think they had interesting movies to watch, unfortunately.

Honestly, Mark is the only one I've followed outside of Star Wars due to his voice acting career. I can't really name anything the others have been in except Natalie and Samuel L. Jackson; but that's because both were in the MCU and Jackson was also in Jurassic Park.

I wanted to add that I love what Alden Ehrenreich has brought to the GFFA. I first saw him in Hail, Caesar! and felt like he stole the show. And in Solo, impossibly huge shoes to fill but he did it. Really I think the best thing he did was to just do his own thing... there were plenty of Solo-esque moments, but none that made me say "wow he is trying too hard to be Ford-Solo." I really really hope we get to see more of Alden in the future! (a sentiment I feel that @Lock_S_Foils might agree with xD )

they always tend to pick interesting projects, same goes for Domhnall Gleeson.

Apart from that I loved the Miss Dior ad campaign Natalie Portman did 2018... if that counts
