Star Wars: Classified-New Ongoing Comic Book

    So, Marvel and Lucasbooks have announced a new ongoing Star Wars Comic Book series called (temporary name, I hope) STAR WARS:CLASSIFIED.

    I thought it would be fun to speculate on what this new comic will be. Let's break it up into two categorizes, what you think it will be and what you hope it will be.

    I'll get the ball rolling:

    THINK: Han Solo ongoing. With the recent success of the Han Solo mini-series (the best Marvel Star Wars comic), Marvel may want to capitalize on that success with an ongoing comic of everyone's favorite smuggler.

    HOPE: Rogue One ongoing. I can't help but notice that this new comic comes out in December, the same time frame as Rogue One. Marvel may want to ride the momentum of Rogue One's box-office success into a new ongoing comic.

    What do all of you think?

    I have a feeling it'll tie in more with the aftermath of ROTJ. I can't see them going near the period between V and VI - even though I'd like to know more about that time as that has some potential gold in it (Luke knowing Vader is his father, Han in carbonite, HOW LONG IT TOOK TO GET TO BESPIN! HAHA. etc)

    I would like to know more about Luke's training in between V-VI and how he became more in tune with the force.

    This also could be a Jyn Erso pre R1 comic series.

    Apparently there's a Yoda origin comic being released, though that can't be an ongoing series

    Agreed on the first idea, how he trained, what he learned from the most knowledgeable Jedi Master, his emotional state regarding Vader - there's lots of stories to be told in the short time between the movies

    It's not a series. It is a one issue (#26) in the ongoing 'Star Wars' comic series. Luke is reading Obi Wan's journal and comes across an entry about Yoda. Idk if you're reading the series but there has been 2 or 3 like this with Obi-Wan being center to the story.

    I wonder if it will continue in the way that the Obi-Wan/Young Luke one has as a buffer between story lines.

    Hopefully. In the interview it was said that if there were a way to fit Yoda in, he'd like to do that.

    I'm gonna guess Rey. There's plenty of time to rehash and add to her background story while ramping up to the eventual reveal of her parentage. By the time Ep. VIII rolls around and is released, fans are going to want everything on Rey they can get.

    just some cool stories about squads of troopers or whatnot, maybe with Phasma as the main character, Hux and Ren in the background.
    oh, who am i kidding, i want all three in the foreground, but a squad of troopers would still be fun to follow on adventures.
    they could blow lots of stuff up. : D
    which one? i know we get to see Phasma in the Poe Dameron comic. that's cool. but i want one where they are the protagonists ~ hahaha

    It's the book Before the Awakening. It has 3 stories about Poe,Rey and FN-2187. It's not a bad book and tells about Finn's training and friendship with his FO squad.
