Star Wars will be coming to the platform fighter Brawlhalla in the way of two added characters, Anakin and Obi-Wan. The announcement was posted on Brawlhalla's social media channels, showcasing the master and apprentice in the game's 2D art style.

Brawlhalla is a 2D platform fighting game similar to something like Super Smash Bros. It is free-to-play and available on multiple platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. The Star Wars collab begins on March 20th. StarWars.com also hints at more characters coming in the future.

Star Wars and Brawlhalla are no strangers to different and unique collaborations. On the Star Wars side of things, Anakin and Obi-Wan have also appeared in Fortnite, alongside other icons like Darth Vader and Ahsoka. This collaboration has seemingly paid off for both Disney and publisher Epic Games as both plan on making even more games.

Meanwhile, Brawlhalla also has an extensive collection of guest characters. It touts over 50 playable characters, with guest characters like Master Chief, SpongeBob Squarepants, John Cena, and Ryu from Street Fighter.

As far as Star Wars games go, this year is already shaping up to be a big one, with multiple games scheduled for release. Coming up, on February 28, the Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster will be released and sold at $30 US / £25 UK / €28.99 EU. Then, in a surprise announcement from Wednesday, the original two Star Wars: Battlefront games are being remastered by Aspyr and will come to modern platforms on March 14. Not to mention the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Outlaws is slated for release this year. Finally, while not officially announced, it is rumored that Respawn Entertainment is working on a Mandalorian video game. It is also rumored that this possible upcoming game will be a first-person shooter, lining up with Respawn Entertainment's other previous works like the Titanfall series and Apex Legends.
