My theory is that everything that happened in the so called fictional Star Wars universe actually happened in real life. It all started in 1972 with the launch of the Pioneer 10 space probe. This probe had a plaque attached to it that had images of a man, woman, and our solar system. So what if the probe got into the hands of someone in a galaxy far far away, and what if they sent it back to Earth using the solar system diagram on the plaque. Whoever got a hold of it could have been a historian who sent the probe back to Earth with historic manuscripts of the events of the Star Wars universe.

After being sent back to Earth it was received by NASA, baffled by all the information, NASA officials needed to find a way to discretely get this information to the public. So they looked for young filmmakers to tell the story and get the information out. The young filmmaker they chose was none other than George Lucas.

So Lucas made the movies starting with the most interesting period in the timeline; the height of the galactic empire. But as any filmmaker would do, Lucas took some artistic liberties and may have tweaked things from the original manuscripts. That got the attention of NASA who forced George to re-release the films to be more accurate to the manuscripts.

Which leads us to the 1997 special editions. And George continued to tell the story with three prequesl, an animated film, and a television series. In the midst of all this, other people wanted to expand upon the "fictional" Star Wars universe by releasing novels with false information. There needed to be a way to clear everything up to get the history straight, so in 2012 George decided to retire from the responsibility of telling the tale, and appointed Disney to continue the legacy.

So, with information from NASA, Disney wiped the timeline clean of anything that wasn't historically accurate (keeping all the movies and the Clone Wars). With the timeline cleared away of anything inaccurate Disney could produce new content in the Star Wars universe while closely monitoring what they are putting out to make sure that it adheres to the facts given NASA by the extra terrestrial life forms. That is my theory on how the Star Wars universe came to Earth because of the Pioneer 10 space probe.

Your theory has a very 'V-Ger' vibe to it.

There is a lot to cover here. Of course, George Lucas began writing Star Wars in 1973. At the time, Pioneer 10 had not yet flown by Jupiter. Even if we use 1977 as the date, the spacecraft had not gotten much past the orbit of Saturn by then. Unless the GFFA is in our own solar system, and relatively close to Earth, then I have my doubts. :)

Just a little friendly advice. It's much easier to read if you divide it into paragraphs.:)

You're close, but let me correct a few things:

George Lucas used the great secrets of Darth Plagueis to implant himself in the womb of a young mother in California. George is Plagueis and his mission is to tell us his epic tale from an eon ago in a galaxy far away.

Episode 12 will reveal that George is Plagueis and Vader is also Plagueis reborn in Shmi's virgin tummy.

When Plagueis was young and before he became Sith he saw a beautiful blond girl, he became obsessed with her but he only saw her for a second and she was gone. After that incident he decided to leave and go to the Sith Academy.

Plagueis never forgot her though so George made a love poem to her and called it "American Graffiti".

Finally, he got to tell the story of Luke, his long lost son and now his long lost grandson.

In episode XII he reveals that he George Lucas has been Plagueis the whole time. George then dies in the film and in real life, but the film will inform us that he didn't really die he just moved onto the next galaxy "far, far away" to repeat the process until the end of time.

His real tragedy is that he does all of this, only because he's still looking for that blond in the white spaceship that he saw for just a second...

Well that certainly was an interesting read. :)

We can bring in wormholes. Say Pioneer 10 popped into one relatively close to Earth, it popped back out shortly after with the information relayed. All that stuff from the asteroid belt onwards was of course fabricated by NASA.
