Star Wars Memory (Hyperspace?) Lane

Yeah it's fun! My first event I found my self randomly chatting with Ewan in 2001 (he liked my blue hair. I was cosplaying as Bulma from DBZ), then David and I had a nice talk about Vader in 2005 when he wasn't signing. In 2006 I met Carrie at the escalators coming down to sign more stuff, and she called me a sweetie when I asked she would make it there alright balancing a burger and coke on her autograph binder (it was blocking her view lol), met little Anakin all grown up years later (showed him to the green room) and literally ran into Adam at the TIFF a few years ago lol he stopped me from falling. He's like solid rock!

 

I've been attending Fan Expo Canada since 2001 and know the co-founder, other staff, was press once and helped out sometimes, so I met many celebs. Carrie though, will be a memory I hold close to my heart forever.

 

Yes and I'll never forget what she said to me when I asked if she was alright.

"You're a sweetie! I'm heading back to sign more autographs through my lunch as long as they don't mind watching me stuff my face!" and then she laughed.

 

What impressed me most is during lunch hour the actors can go out to eat, eat at the hotel or eat in the guest room. She chose to do an extra signing (not scheduled at all) and eat her lunch at the same time, so more fans could see her.

 

I love stories like that! She was quite a woman!

 

that snow speeder was maybe the best toy of the whole line; it was certainly the best of all the ships.

never had the y-wing that i recall ~ might have gotten it, like you long after ROTJ and it's sitting in a box still somewhere. : o p

 

I lost my entire SW collection when I moved long ago, but then one day I found a box untouched and look what was inside!

I spent hours and hours fightin for the Rebellion. My mother has never known. Every night, she came in my room right after the dinner, laid me down in my bed, tucked me in (warm within would add Metallica), I had a kiss and she left, softly closing the door...
... and then, the warning siren began to roar...
I turned my pillowcase 90 °, placed it behind me and pressed my back on it. My bed became my fierce X-Wing, as I pulled down over my head the pillow-tip that protruded, to close the cockpit. My pajama slowly tinged itself in orange. And I was turning into a pilot... One button feverishly pressed, somewhere on the mattress. Then a second. The voice of Commander Luke resonated in my headphones. Next second, I was taking off from Yavin, towards these squadrons of TIE and the monstrous moon hovering behind them...
The game was starting and I was ready to fight.

If Mom only knew...

 

I'm so sorry. For me it was during our move after my grandparents died. It was left behind in a large crate, and when I returned, it was gone. Someone has a very special SW collection now.
