SPECULATION Star Wars Narration & Opening Scrawl

    I was just browsing the internet and came across this article here:

    In it, GL is quoted as saying that Artoo ((r2-d2 2)) is the actual narrator of the movies so he is the one who is writing the opening scrawls in each movie for The Journal of the Whills roughly 100 years after the end of ROTJ. Now, I'm sure that a lot of us on here have been aware of this for a while...I know I have. The one thing that Cinemablend points out though that doesn't make sense in terms of TFA is R2-D2 being out of commission for nearly all of the movie. This has led me to think about how big of a role this droid will play in the rest of the sequel trilogy if this new era of Lucasfilm, Ltd. & Walt Disney Studios still abides to George Lucas's words. At the same time, since this droid is the narrator, will this be a way to phase out the opening scrawls in the spin-offs and future trilogy movies (eg. IX,X, XI, XII, ETC.)?

    I saw the headlines about this, but didn't think about that. In my opinion Artoo has been basically the one who saves the day for the PT and the OT so hopefully he keeps his role in the Sequel Trilogy.
