    I do like this poster, but I find it odd that there's no Rogue One characters or references (bar the looming Death Star and Vader of course). I realise last year's Celebration Europe one was dominated by R1, but since it's the anniversary year why not include references to the full movie history?

    Similarly, like others have noticed, there's a couple of conspicuous omissions... no Emperor or Calrissian, really?

    I'm guessing no R1 characters as it's a "Skywalker Saga" poster, but without the overarching head honcho bad guy, and then the guy that replaced him. (emperor)

    EDIT: Good spot with the omission of Lando too

    I guess that could be it... just seems odd when R1 is still so new.


    For what it's worth, I always loved this ROTJ poster - even though (as mentioned in another thread) I can't fathom why the designer reversed the saber colours?!

    I just hope they will create something different and intersting for TLJ poster. TFA was horrible, just the Imax posters were good.

    I like the fact that the international markets always seem to go with something just a little different for their posters - like this Korean R1 version which plays up on that shot of Jyn we saw in the trailer in the Imperial outfit which didn't make the cut in the theatrical release

    ...and this Japanese (?) TESB one which makes Bespin more prominent than Hoth, which is probably completely contra to what first comes to mind when I think of the film

    The Empire Strikes Back 10th Anniversary Poster. Had it on my wall as a kid, as I recall it was just some random gift sent to me by Lucasfilm Fan Club sometime in the early 90's. I still have it but it's in pretty rough shape and just packed away somewhere. I want to get a nice new one to hang, and not with tacks like I did the first one. Most of the ESB posters were pretty great.

    I'm also a fan of this one...

    I never had the poster but it was the cover of the novelization which I had and I really liked it.

    Imagine how confusing this TESB poster would have been to fans in 1980... featuring nothing that you'd recognise from the first film, none of the heroes, ships or even a lightsaber, just an odd goblin and a mechanical elephant with guns!?!? :eek:
