September comic solicitations have arrived from Marvel. By this fall, Dark Droids will be in full swing as the entity known as 'the Scourge' seeks to take over the galaxy. Engulfing almost all of Marvel's Star Wars offerings, September sees D-Squad reunite, tense battles for all of our heroes across the galaxy, and the incredibly uncivilized return of General Grievous.

Courtesy of StarWars.com, we also get the first issue synopsis for the recently announced Obi-Wan Kenobi adaptation. Dark Horse can't be forgotten about either as Cavan Scott's Tales from the Death Star hits shelves.

Before we dive in, ComicBook.com recently released a new preview for Dark Droids #1, due August 2. Check out the quick gallery below and read on for more insight into the next major Star Wars comics event.

Whether it is a genuine return or not for Grievous remains to be seen. One thing for certain is that the Dark Droids crossover event doesn't appear to be messing around.

Moving on, there are a few adaptations to look forward to from Marvel and another that might not be on your radar.

Due September 12, The Mandalorian manga adaptation is the latest from Viz Media after the recently released Edge of Balance: Precedent. The publisher has previously adapted Legends of Luke Skywalker and Guardians of the Whills.

Lastly, Dark Horse currently has two titles listed in September. Hyperspace Stories #9 is currently dated September 27. One day earlier sees the return of spooky Star Wars.
