Star Wars Series Andor, The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi Nominated For Emmy Awards

    The nominations for the 2023 Emmy Awards are in, and Andor has come in big, along with a few nominations for Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Mandalorian.



    The highlight is that Andor is nominated for the big category of 'Oustanding Drama Series', but here are the full list of its nominations:



    Obi-Wan Kenobi also had a few nominations, including for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series:



    The Mandalorian didn't get nominated for the 'big' awards and while Pedro Pascal was only nominated for Best Lead Actor for his role in The Last of Us, there was still plenty to celebrate. Here are The Mandalorian's nominations:

    Not to be ungrateful, these nominations are great, but... This is a prime example of the fallibility of these organizations. Not a single actor/actress nomination for Andor? I'm good with Luna being left out, he was good, but maybe not "Outstanding". However, Stellan, Fiona and Serkis should have been nominated and front-runners. To be honest, I have not seen Succession nor White Lotus, but c'mon. They really should do better to spread the nominations around among shows. I think it's a bit telling that Andor and Dragon were nominated for Series, but not a single actor nod between them.

    On a positive note, Go Pedro! with two nominations, and The Bear did very well, as it absolutely deserved.

    And for a side order of snark, I love that Guns For Hire got so many nods for Mando 3.
