    It's time to meet a new pilot in Star Wars: Squadrons' newly released CG short:

    The short, which follows an Imperial pilot on the run from New Republic forces, is a collaboration between Motive Studios, Lucasfilm, and ILM.



    Star Wars: Squadrons is the new space combat video game developed by Motive Studios, who previously worked on Battlefront II's campaign, and published by EA. The game will feature a single player story mode mostly set after the destruction of the second Death Star, plus two multiplayer modes: Dogfight and Fleet Battles.



    The game launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 2.

    Aside from a campaign and deep customization, what's the difference between this game and Battlefront 2's Starfighter assault? I pre-ordered excited about it nonetheless...

    Gaming not really my thing, but what a great looking short “film”!

    I’d watch this as a series 10/10 times over a Rebels sequel or The Bad Batch.

    According to some youtube pundits, the game has gone gold already just from pre-ordering. The Star Wars IP is strong. I'm currently reading Alexander Freed's Shadow Wing great companion to the game. With such a strong IP I hope the next couple of films are good too!
