SPOILER Star Wars TCW Reveiw: S1-E1, Ambush

    In the past few months since Star Wars Rebels came out, I wondered why their was no review for Star Wars The Clone Wars. I'm sure some of you wanted episode reviews of this show so now I've volunteered review every episode of TCW series. (Note: I will try to do an episode review once every other week, maybe more frequent depending on my schedule.) Now I will review Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 1 Episode 1, Ambush. Caution: If you have not seen the Clone Wars episodes before this, their will be spoilers

    The episode begins explaining to us that The Republic and the Separatists are desperately trying to bring neutral planets to support and join their side. During all that, Master Yoda arranges secret negotiations with the King of Toydaria in hopes that the King will allow the Republic to build a supply base. But before Yoda arrives, The King of Toydaria is met by Asajj Ventress is a servant of Count Dooku. Dooku tries to persuade the King to join the Separatists, but the King is not convinced. Meanwhile, Yoda's ship was ambushed by Separatist ships and the crew are forced to land in escape pods, but all pods but Yoda's were destroyed.
    To sum up what happened, Yoda and Three Clones must survive the onslaught of separatist droids and reach the King. Along the way, Yoda taught a lot of lessons to the clones, which eventually sank in and they were able to save Yoda out of a rough situation. The Toydarian king then decided to join the Republic.

    After I give a Episode overview, I will go through parts of the episode I enjoyed most and least.

    What I liked best:

    Master Yoda and his Wise advice:
    Yoda was very clever in this episode, he taught his three clone companions a lot that day. They managed to outsmart a whole Separatist Battalion. As Master Yoda said in this episode:
    "Smaller in number are we, but Larger in mind."(yoda)

    The Stupid but Hilarious Battle Droids:
    The Battle droids were the Comic relief of the episode. Their lines are the most hilarious:
    "What a terrible Shot."
    "Oh well, It's my programing"

    "But.. I .. Just.. got Promoted!"

    What I liked least:
    Asajj Ventress:
    No offence to Clone Wars fans that like Ventress, but I thought it was odd putting her right in the first episode of the show. I'm sure Ventress will grow on me in the future, but for now she is strange.

    Overall, this episode was pretty good, kinda of an odd way to start the series, but I liked the story and I think they did a good job.

    Hey, good job! Only two things I would improve.

    1. Proof read. I think there was only one part that threw me off, but I kept expecting something else to mess up too.
    2. Could you add a couple more points about the stuff you liked and didn't like?

    Other than those, I thought it was good!

    This episode is one of my favorite. I remember that I came back from school, turn the tv on and The Clone Wars was on TV. I thought: "What the hell is that? Where's Simpsons?" And then I enjoyed and loved that. This is how I became a Star Wars fan, by watching TCW on TV.

    I agree the weekends are the best to watch the episodes if there is nothing on, im speaking of myself off course im sure everyone watches daily viewing of something.
