That's a strange question. I assume rhetorical. Or one that's better directed at George Lucas. Because I don't know what it has to do with me.

I've just given you these facts in response to the implication that it is unthinkable to not fully plan a trilogy out from the start. I guess it's up to you which truth you wish to believe in.

You are the one defending Kathleen Kennedy's 'pass the baton' approach to the planning of the ST by pointing to how the other SW trilogies were crafted. Figuring out what you're going to do as you work through each of the films can work -- as it did with the OTs -- but fortunately today's multi-film filmmaking (usually) is smarter than that.

    "You are the one.."?

When did we start finger pointing? I don't get this.

Earlier in this thread I said: "Shouldn't everything have been planned out in advance?
JJ was quoted as saying he and Kasdan wrote TFA and then passed the baton to Rian Johnson for what was to come next."

    You responded with:
You went on to discuss the lack of planning in great detail. I followed up with "So not planning a film trilogy out in advance is a good approach to filmmaking?"

I'm genuinely confused by your "When did we start finger-pointing?" follow-up response. If your comments weren't defending the way George planned out the OTs and the PTs, what were they about?

I'm talking about the choice of words. When did it become necessary to start pulling out "You're the one..." as if to counter an accusation I've aimed at you.

All I did was point out that the facts of how each previous trilogy was "planned" are at odds with your implication that it is unthinkable that making a Star Wars trilogy would not involve planning it all out in advance. It wasn't a judgement or any an attempt to defend or condemn anybody's planning or execution skills. It was purely a response to your assertion of what needs to be done when making a Star Wars trilogy.

JJ did not do to bad. It was RJ that derailed everything. The only thing RJ did that was cool was the slicer guy, was it DJ?
