Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 took home two Annie Awards at last night's event. The 51st edition of the awards honored animation across film, television, and video games, with Lucasfilm's unique brand of Star Wars offerings being honored for Best Music and Best Direction.

Cartoon Saloon and Paul Young took home the prize for Best Direction with their work on Screecher's Reach. Triggerfish's Markus Wormstorm, Nadia Darries, and Dineo Du Toit won Best Music for their job on Aau's Song. The pair beat out the likes of Animaniacs, My Dad and the Bounty Hunter, Scavenger's Reign, and more.

In total, Star Wars: Visions garnered six nominations at this year's awards. The TV/Media categories in which it didn't win, those being Best FX, Best Character Animation, Best Editorial, and Best Production Design, all went to Netflix's Blue Eye Samurai, which has been taking the animation realm by storm on the silver screen. Ahsoka was up for an award in Character Animation on the live-action side, but lost out to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 has been active this awards season. In addition to the Annie win, Screecher's Reach was recently honored at the Emmys for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation in the category of Production Design. Elsewhere, Lucasfilm won a few other Emmys, including a pair for Young Jedi Adventures at the Children's and Family Emmys. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's composers won a Grammy. At the Saturn Awards, Andor and The Bad Batch took home some gold.

Star Wars: Visions has been reportedly renewed for a third volume, although there hasn't been more information since the initial reports. Until then, congratulations are in order to the Cartoon Saloon and Triggerfish teams for their respective wins at this year's Annie Awards!

The big winner of the night at the Annies was Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which won seven awards. For a whole list and breakdown of winners at the 51st Annie Awards, you can visit here.
