I was just watching the new video: Star Wars Worlds of the Last Jedi

I noticed at 1:33 they show a shot of a ship coming out of hyperspace going to what looks like a desert planet. They speak of Ach-To, Canto Bight, and Crait but none are desert worlds. It's not mention it in the video. They just show they clip. It has two moons. I would likely think this is Jakku. Could this be part of a flash back about Rey's parents? or maybe we are visiting Jakku again in TLJ. Just want to point it out.

Edit: Sorry, my intentions was for the photo to be in the spoiler part. I will delete it.

Cantonica is a desert world, and Canto Bight is a city on Cantonica that is a Star Wars Dubai with an artificial lake, casinos, and racing animals (falthiers/camels).

I used to look forward to what exotic and unique planets and locations were in store for each Star Wars movie. Not so any more. :(.

I personally haven't seen a planet that looks like Ach-To, a city like Canto Bight, and terrain like on Crait in any Star Wars Canon production. I'm not sure what you are wanting to see.

The world/lore building Rian done with this film shows me that he has a firm grasp on Star Wars. Can't wait to see these new planets, aliens, cultures, etc. on the big screen.

Something more original and INSPIRED and less a variation of what we've seen before. But I guess that is too much to ask. SMH.

No, I've never ever seen a Star Wars movie. I just hang out on a Star Wars forum all the time for my health.

Pretty much confirmed my suspicions. But you are right! We need more rocky/desert/snowy/white planets in the Star Wars saga! And certainly locations that include a nondescript island and a city that is architecturally similar to Theed!

I didn't know Palpatine was a member here! Sweet. How's it hangin', Sheev? Where's your evil force ghost chillin these days, home slice?

Anyhoo, I saw Empire and Jedi in the theater, as well as every film since, every cartoon, every special, and I've read most of the new canon comics and a handful of the new books. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The 'Special Editions'? I saw the originals in their original years (opening day for TESB and ROTJ), even one-upping you by seeing Ep. IV in the summer of 1977. So there. :p (emperor) As for the books and comics books and cartoons, etc. you got me there. I need to draw the line somewhere. I prefer to live a life apart Star Wars.

Exactly! What is up with this extremely small minority of fans who post silly crap like "I used to look forward to ____ about Star Wars. Until now." What they heck? Just try and enjoy yourself for once. Or, go to film school and make your own set. LOL

Even more interesting are those who are easily triggered by the humble insight and candor of the alleged 'extremely small minority' of fans that have dissenting opinions from the purported status quo. Why do they feel compelled to dignify that 'silly crap'?? Jeez, grow a pair, or at least- grow up. But I digress...

I saw ANH TEN TIMES at the theater. TEN TIMES. Two were at a drive-in theater (my grandparents were total saints as they didn't get any of it)

I saw ESB the day it came out and remember my dad saying 'that's bantha poodoo!' when Vader let loose his daddy stuff.

I"m positive I'll love TLJ as much as I love the others. It's Star Wars for pete's sake! Just go to a theater, get your popcorn and drinks, and enjoy it for what it is. Don't rip it to shreds, just enjoy it.

I feel like a lot of folks WANT this thing to fail. Not sure why that's the case. But I want EVERY Star Wars movie to be better than ESB. I really do. I didn't much care for ESB when it came out, but it's my favorite at the moment, followed closely by Rogue One which some on here say is crap. It's not crap by any measure.

I have tickets for 3pm on Friday, and I'll love it. It may, or may not, be the best SW ever, but who cares? It's a new Star Wars film. Just embrace it and enjoy it

Man, tis the season and all that jazz, k? I'm tryin to be funny and lighten the tension. It's all good, all right? And no man, I saw Empire in theaters in 1980 and Jedi in 1983. I was too young to see ANH in theaters.

Anyhoo, I'm a friendly dude, so I'm not quite sure what I am saying to get under your skin, but whatever it is, sorry bout it.

The prequels didn't ruin SW for me. On the contrary, I loved them. TPM holds up incredibly well in my book, which kind of surprises me. I remember reading the novel before the film came out and saying 'whoa....this reads like a Seinfeld episode...way too 'clippy'.'

AOTC doesn't hold up especially well and ROTS is appropriately dark and fun, but they didn't ruin my enjoyment of the series.

The non stop 'but Jar-Jar' is weak sauce. He was barely in the second and third movies and one character can't kill a whole series of films.

Flame away, but I think SW is richer, much richer, due to the prequels. I also don't agree that TFA was a carbon copy of ANH. Sure, it took some beats from all the films, but I remember telling my kids 'that's the best one' when we left the theater.

I'm not changing my opinion now that others have showered hate all over it. It's still one of the best SW movies I've ever seen. I mean they are movies for Chrissake!

    EDIT: Those rathtars tho!

Lol I totally agree with you except the Jar Jar argument.

I can remember loving him and finding him hysterical when I was 9 years old. However since my teens I have rued the fact that the droid battle tank didn't flatten the big eared orange tosser (Dam you Qui Gon!). He has totally ruined TPM for me, I can't watch the film without screaming "George, George..... WHAT THE **** WERE YOU THINKING!?" but that's just me lol.

No matter how much I have tried.... TPM will always be dead to me lol. Except obviously the duel at the end, which IMO is still one of the best. I loved the score for that part of the film and Darth Mauls lightsabre is still one of the coolest things to come out of star wars.

If it wasn't for Jar Jar ******* Bink's.... What might have been? Lol
