    Yes, from a certain point of view I am glad it didn't happen. As if we didn't have enough with George Lucas trying to make everything fit in the prequels...

    I'm personally glad that we had artoo and threepio in the prequels but I would have rather seen Han Solo in the depths of Coruscant in AOTC as a little kid, maybe have Anakin Skywalker and Obie-Wan tuning by him while chasing Zam awes sell . And

    I think it would feel like a really forced cameo. ANd i think its good that they didnt lock characters past totally by having them appear in random and strange places.
