The Sundance Film Festival is turning out to be an endless source of information from Star Wars personalities. Daisy Ridley and Alden Ehrenreich have both been asked about their experiences with the franchise and their plans for the future while promoting their latest projects there, and now The Acolyte lead Amandla Stenberg is the latest to join the party even though they couldn't attend their new film's premiere.

Stenberg is currently promoting their new film My Animal, and when asked by ComicBook.com about their experience on the set of the Leslye Headland series, they said:

Stenberg is a self-professed Star Wars fanatic and even said during Comic-Con last year: 'So my whole life is Star Wars. When I wake up I think about Star Wars, I love Star Wars before I go to sleep. I read Star Wars, I listen to Star Wars podcasts, you know?'

Before the holiday break, the series was filming in multiple places at the same time, following the strategy used by Andor in season 1 (and season 2, also in production right now). Leslye Headland is the captain of the ship -- she is the showrunner, executive producer, head writer, and even director of the pilot (and possibly some other episodes as well). The rest of the cast so far includes Lee Jung-jae (male co-lead), Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Margarita Levieva in a guest role.

In other Acolyte news, Dafne Keen's agency confirmed in a listing that her character's name is Jecki (via r/StarWarsLeaks). For now, there is no additional information on her, so there's really not much to speculate on. Here is the official synopsis for the show:

The Acolyte is expected to be filming until May, and will likely target a release date sometime in the first half of 2024. More details could be provided this April during Star Wars Celebration.

Carrie-Anne Moss in a Star Wars project, I'm really looking forward to this. The director's passion excites me so much, she sounds like a real fan. I just hope that being such a fan does the work service, rather than hinder it.
