After a long period of quiet for the animated sequel/spin-off to The Clone Wars, Lucasfilm has revealed that The Bad Batch will be receiving its first-ever panel at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022.

Per the official Star Wars website, David Collins will be hosting a panel dedicated to the first Star Wars animated series to ever be exclusively released for Disney Plus. Confirmed to appear at the panel for The Bad Batch are Dee Bradley Baker (the voice of Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, Echo, and almost all other clones), Michelle Ang (the voice of Omega), story editor Matt Michnovetz, and executive producers Brad Rau and Jen Corbett (who are also the show's supervising director and head writer respectively). The panel will be held on Sunday, May 29th, the final day of Star Wars Celebration. While the focus will understandably be on the second season of the show, it is also expected that the cast and crew will provide insight into the development of the first season and their favorite moments from the series so far.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the exploits of a crack operative team of irregular Clone Troopers who find themselves living in a very different galaxy following the abrupt end to the Clone Wars and the hard turn from the Republic to the Empire. Upon taking issue with the new regime's more amoral approach to warfare, most of the Bad Batch decide to defect from the Empire. Escaping Kamino with a young female clone who has special knowledge about the Empire's plans, most of the crew become mercenaries for hire with the intent of using their skills to help those in need, while the other remains unquestioningly loyal to the Empire and seeks to apprehend his brothers in arms.

The first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is currently available to stream on Disney Plus, with a second season set to arrive at an unspecified point later this year.
