Apologies if someone has already asked these questions, but have we had any background to the Inquisitors? Were they Jedis who turned or were they always around doing Palpatine's shady work?

Also where do they fit in with the Emperor / Vader dynamic? Surely Palpatine wouldn't want Vader operating a band of Force Sensitive Inquisitors, as what if Vader made one his apprentice and tried to eliminate the Emperor?

Final question - do you think Darth Maul will be introduced as one in future seasons?

We don't know much about them in the new canon. My memory isn't what it used to be...but didn't we get a scene with the emperor telling vader to send our more inquisitors?

Palpy wants to kidnap the force sensitive kids and either kill them or turn them into inquisitors. If new canon palpy still follows the rule of 2, then he expects vader to train someone and overthrow him, at some point. That's the whole point of the sith.

That's great - thanks very much! I think they're awesome, but didn't have a clue as to who they are and where they fit!

I've always got the impression that part of the reason that he wanted Anakin on his side was because of his power and potential threat to him. By having him as an apprentice he could control his development in the dark side.

Vader won't try that move just yet, I would like to see Maul make a return.

Darth Maul hates the Emperor and the Empire, he would never work for them. But I would love to see him return, I really enjoyed the Son of Dathomir comic arc.
