With the Blu-Ray and 4K versions of The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 now available for purchase, Disney has revealed a brand-new clip from some of the behind-the-scenes content included in the physical media packaging.

In particular, the new version features a look into how Grogu was created for the first season, including the actual creation of the puppet. Via Gizmodo, check out the new clip here:

The physical media version includes several featurettes that have never been seen before, which means that there was a time where Disney and Lucasfilm were sitting on a lot of behind-the-scenes footage from their Star Wars series that they were not releasing, even though they did make it a point to make the Disney Gallery series for the streaming service to highlight the making of the shows (as well as increase the volume that the service is putting out every year).

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are now available for purchase, but may soon be joined by Andor season 1, The Book of Boba Fett, and The Mandalorian season 3. The fourth season of the latter is currently in pre-production, and according to the latest Internet rumor, it may be retooled as a feature film. Andor season 2 should be resuming production very soon in the UK, now targeting a 2025 release date. Since we never got a making-of documentary for the first season, it will be interesting to see if Lucasfilm did film something that will be included in the Blu-Ray and 4K versions.

Next up for Star Wars on Disney Plus are the live-action series The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew, both due out next year.
