The New Opening Fanfare

I'm always surprised at what can become a divisive issue in the Star Wars community.

 

Personally I don't believe this. Because it comes from the guy who claims to know the plot based on his hinted-at possession of the call sheets. Even if Jason Ward's other leaks were correct (and he has yet to get a single character's name right), have you ever seen a call sheet with the intro music included?

Me neither.

 

We're all different people with different opinions. Nothing wrong with that.

 

I like the concept. Surprised they didn't just let it go into the dramatic retard at the end of the phrase, it's very reminiscent of the fox fanfare.

 

Oh indeed, I wasn't saying that was bad. I'm merely pointing out that people sometimes throw their passion into the wrong direction, and we begin quibbling over what are honestly minor things.

 

What's the title of the discussion here, folks?

If you feel that this is a pointless topic to discuss, then why bother clicking on it in the first place?

 

Yes, only they let it play out naturally. There is a point where the music fades on the teaser, but it doesn't appear to be masking an edit.

 

Because we want to see what's up?

I think some of us are just saying that it's a bit ridiculous for people to get so seemingly bent out of shape about this.

Not having bought the Digital Releases, I have only seen a low-quality audio and video clip of the new opening. I do admit I found the jump-cut a bit silly and bad, but I don't know if the low quality made it sound worse. As for the actual music intro, it's a nice little detail, but I do admit it will be hard not seeing Fox fanfare in the movies going forward, minus A New Hope. If they make a few tweaks for TFA, I wouldn't be surprised if the cue is evened out. Maybe a full length one plays over the Lucasfilm logo and Bad Robot? I know it's a stretch but it could happen.
