The shape of Sith Holocrons are all pyramids. I don't think it's Darth Undeaddude's.

If that's the case, can you get a good screencap of the holocron in the trailer?

Is it just me or does the Seventh Sister concept on the far right look like a Sith pureblood? Perhaps there's a connection to the holocron and "Malachor"?

Is Malachir the new-canon Sith Homeworld ?

In the old canon, Malachor was basically Space Chernobyl with a bit of Hiroshima thrown in. It was a war site as opposed to a homeworld - and the battle that made the planet apocalyptic happened before the Sith/Jedi war shown in KOTOR. The site later became extremely potent in the Dark Side or something. The new canon seems to take influence from this interpretation.

To answer your question, though, Moraband/Korriban is the canonical Sith homeworld.

    Canonically, it's currently Moraband.

    http://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2014/02/officially-name-of-sith-homeworld-is.html

I don't know why they did that, other than that I've found some info that George Lucas liked the name Moraband better than Korriban, so that is what it was called in the Clone Wars episode.

It will always be Korriban to me. ;)

ps - in fairness, a few other planets have undergone renames, including Coruscant (formerly Netron or something like that).

Yup, I read or heard on a documentary or something that GL actually changed it because he felt Korriban was too close to Coruscant, so it became Moraband instead. All these M planets to get confusing too though...Mustafar, Moraband, Malachor - all heavily associated with Sith history and lore.

I like Revan, he would be my second favorite, my favorite would be exar Kun, though I don't see that happening. I want it to happen, but don't see it happening yet. I still think they will canonize the characters without canonizing the stories in them, i.e.... we know so and so existed, but the stories about them are somewhat more legends than reality.

Where do you see that inscribed on the Sith holocron in the mid-season trailer?

Guys... you are all missing one sith planet.

Note that it appears to be underground... lights sihning through cracks in the cieling.

My bet, that this is on courscant... and this is the "Sith Shrine" that the JEdi Temple was built upon.

Even Korriban herself, which was known as Pesegem at one point in the Legends continuity.

    trandhosha has three names

    Dac has a bunch

i am sure earth has more than one names (can think of two or three)

The concept art for the shrine in question made it look like ruins lost in time as opposed to the site of a disaster - not to mention that the ruins in question look to be substantially larger than the building site of the Coruscant temple. So I'm gonna say "no" to that.

It's definitely not Coruscant; we see the surface of the planet in the trailer.

Also, @Darth Sidious, where do you see "In umbris potestas est." on the holocron in the trailer?
