    Ideally he would be talking to us who think this film is just shaping up to be a re-hash of Empire

    In reality its probably going to be a line in a similar context to when Yoda is telling Luke that he should be scared in empire strikes back.

    Well....

    I had a silly thought today.

    There are 2 WOAH moments in the trailer that could be misdirecting:

    1 - Kylo killing Leia
    2 - Rey turning to Kylo Ren

    I was saying to myself... what if actually ONE of the two is misdirection.

    Which one is true?

    ReyLo
    Snoke force draining.
    Luke lacking in power.
    Ben Solo returning.
    Rey Random.

    All strongly hinted at.

    I'm almost certain that Leia doesn't die at the battle above D'Qar, since a later shot in the trailer shows her in a location that looks like the Crait base (which, we can only assume, takes place after they leave D'Qar.)

    Kylo doesn't kill Leia:

    His band aid on the face suggests the begining of the movie (aka D'Qar battle)
    Leia is in completely different costume later on.

    It's pretty obvious to me.

    One of the caretakers, frustrated with the lack of selection and vows of celibacy, gets a bit frisky and tries to force herself onto Luke.

    Could be a flashback. Maybe Kylo thinks something will happen after he destroys the temple and Luke's order. Maybe he defends Snoke to Luke, verbally. Luke then tells him that it won't go the way he thinks (Ben joining Snoke). But what does that mean? Luke is defeated by Ben is saber combat? No way, there has got to be something going on here. I don't think Luke fights in that incident. Him loosing a duel to his nephew would be problematic

    That's what I thought as well. But for some reason it looks more like he got hit because he insulted somebody. I can imagine he probably got pretty crabby and weird with only mutant puffins and turtles in nun outfits to talk to.:confused:

    Is his lip bleeding? Hmmm, maybe.

    To me, it seems that coat he's wearing is black, leather, and patchwork (almost stylized... reminds me of Kryptonian wardrobe in Man of Steel). This is important because other times in the trailer(s) he's either wearing his dingy grey robes, or that one scene with what looks like he has a more tame *brown* leather jacket WITH a scarf.

    So, I can't tell if it's the same leather jacket (dark brown... black?). Does he lose the scarf?

    Just the blue hue and the rain seems to mirror the flashback scene.

    The DISDAIN in his voice makes me think this isn't something he's saying to Rey.

    I like to think that Rey has just reached out to Kylo via the Force and wants to either redeem him or use him to get to Snoke (who she has learned something about). Luke finds out about this and warns her.

    Maybe this is Luke speaking to a force ghost [Vader/Anakin?] or some kind of vision [Snoke?].

    I think the trailer is talking about Kylo and Rey separately. I think Kylo and Snoke have a confrontation where he picks up his lightsaber then leaves and smashes his helmet. I see Rey get trained by luke and Luke witnesses her powers before(lil Rey) and wasnt scared but now is cause of what she is capable of doing but cant control. Luke tells Rey in the trailer that "its not gonna go the way you think" and she leaves like Luke did in ESB.

    Thats just my take. im sure im all wrong like others but its something to think of when the movie does come out.

    Just put something (as non spoilery as I could make it) about this scene on the Luke thread.

    MSW discussed this scene in recent times, before and again after the trailer, and they mentioned who he's speaking to.

    Can't wait for this scene, if they are correct, but they knew about it before the trailer came out so I'm expecting to see it.
