One of the most dangerous weapon has already be seen in the Canon Star Wars universe, in Attack of the Cones. A shapeshifting Clawdite bounty hunter from the planet Zolan called Zam.

Imagine, one of her kind posing as Mark Hamill, or Han... or Palpatine... or Plagueis... or well... anyone it wants.

Imagine an army of Zolaneses. Or a Zolanese used to stimulate factions.

Like a Zolanese posing as Castro after his death.

I think that this is too good not to be re-used in Episode VII?

I liked the Zam Wesell character, and the shapeshifter concept.

I'd love to see another one (or more) in the new trilogy.

    Many possibilities...

it seems a little too easy? it's like having a clone be a character. i guess if it was a side line character, like Zam was in AotC, then that's fine. anything more integral, however, would make me sad face. :(

I feel like this is a slippery slope, like if a main plot point is based around a shapeshifter it makes us lose emotional attachement to the characters because we cant hold them responsible for their actions because we dont know if its actually them or not. Just like clones its a lazy plot device and i dont think jj will use it
