SPECULATION 'Twinning': Anakin was not an only child!

    What if all Skywalkers are born in pairs? A literal balancing of the force. A way for the universe to hedge its bets... just in case one Skywalker turns, his/her sibling would be able to counter them. Begs the question, what if both are good or both are bad... well, this is where we take a leap... it never works that way. One always goes dark with the other resisting temptation and staying pure and golden.

    And what if... drumroll... this 'twinning' did not begin with Luke and Leia... it began with Anakin?! Maybe the phenomenon was engineered by Plageous to occur this way, again, as a failsafe.

    Could Anakin have had a twin brother or sister, which was kept secret from Shmi and even Palps. Given the balancing act I'm theorizing, the moment Vader was redeemed... his twin would have felt a pang of some sort... and maybe then they turn to the dark side in order to retain balance... since both Luke and Leia are on the good side... that leaves mystery Anakin twin... and that's it... we're down an entity...

    Could this mystery twin somehow play a part in TFA? They'd be very, very old too...

    It's possible that Plagueis screwed up and Anakin had a "force twin" even if it wasn't a biological twin from Shmi. However, that would really go against the whole point of the first 6 movies. The failure of the prophecy and its redemption in Luke. I mean maybe Anakin's "Twin" was needed for balance of the force. But I doubt it.

    Interesting theory... I like it.

    But that means that Anakin's twin is now... close to a 100 years old??? MVS??? :p

    He goes around rushing into walls with a stormtrooper helmet.

    I like your idea Bobo, it would then use some of Lucas' original ideas for tje ST

    ok, so, Anakin had a twin no one knew about... is Schmi still the mother, or did Plaugeis' mojo affect another woman somewhere? was she then on Jerry Springer to find out who the father was?

    if Anakin did have a twin, does that mean that there's another set of twins around the same age as Luke and Leia? or did Anatwin not have kids?

    if Anatwin did have kids, do they now have twins to match Han and Leia's (if Han and Leia do indeed have twins)?

    I would imagine Anakin's twin would develop a personality that is the complete opposite of the boy who would be Vader. It's likely he/she is not at all interested in coupling and mating with a lover.

    Anakin's twin would be super old... in need of enhancements... if he/she is still in the same body at all... maybe they studied the force secretly and serve Plageous... his good seed as it were... and he shared the secret of immortality with them.

    The notion of this prized twin being encased in carbonite is fun. That would help explain his youth and make it easy to cast Hayden as per MarsPhoenix.

    As ridiculous as this may seem... put yourself in Plageous' shoes... wouldn't you want a backup of your most prized possession... just in case?
