I know it was interesting, the best angles are need for a movie of this magnitude, that's why I found it & shared it here.

Yeah usually the shots are framed, shot, and then moved and hen shot from A different angle within the same frame but I guess that's how they ended up with so much footage in time...I wonder if there's a way to see how many feet of film stock was shot in its entirety for TFA .

Sorry if there's already a DVD thread, I didn't see one in a quick scan. But someone posted all the deleted scenes on FB:

Good that those scenes were cut. The X-Wing jump to lightspeed scene was the only one that was somehow more interesting...

I don't know. I liked the Kylo one just because it's more Kylo. I did like the Leia scene. Not sure if the snowspeeder chase was finished or they stopped before completing but that felt odd.

Great post...I wonder why the resolution is so low though, but I also wonder how they acquired it so soon !

the only thing kinda disturbing about the Leia scene is that she doesn't seem to react at all to the information about Poe's X-wing being destroyed.

Well, I think it was the RedLetterMedia guys who said C3PO had more facial expression than Leia!

The only way I could explain the lack of expression of Leia is that she saw just too much in the last 30-40 years....

Which makes you wonder (unless it's mentioned in various books) didn't she know/think that Kylo was searching for the map and hunting anyone who was connected to it? Didn't she think that eventually Kylo and the FO would catch up to them? Was this the first time they had an encounter with him?

Well remember that Leia has her motherly instincts and the force so she would have sensed something but not believing it to be true .

A rule of thumb is that the visual effects guys don't finish the scene if they know it's not going to be in the final cut. In assembly, directors have them kind of half-ass it just to get a feeling of what the scene will be like, and then they decide whether or not to keep the scene and finish the visual effects work on it.

So yeah, that scene wasn't finished. The lack of music also indicates that.
